WOOOOOOOW LMAO You know it's things like THAT that actually (not so much nowadays it seems) steer the decisions the FCC makes. I believe the rules have DRASTICALLY changed in the last decade or so concerning the FCC and how it judges what should be censored or not. Back in the 60s-early 90s, stuff was really 'Fantasy Violence' to the point where it was OBVIOUSLY fake to even youngsters...so the FCC really didn't have much to worry about. This is/was actually bad for those of us that liked say anime because this meant that anything that wasn's truly 'Fantasy Violence' like OBVIOUSLY so ended up getting the Hell censored out of it (i.e. Sailor Moon and I do believe DBZ originally...) Now, however, kids are trying to emulate even the most OBVIOUS 'Fantasy Violence' (i.e. those retarded kids...Lord forgive me...that tried to emulate Gaara's Sand Burial move on one of their friends...thinking that nothing would happen WHAT'S WRONG WITCHU?! ) So between then and now, the FCC has just decided that basically if it's animated and it's going to be shown on TV during certain hours, it meant for kids (no matter WHAT it may be ) and after said hours as long as it's got a rating that suggest that parents either watch it with their kids (if the kids are even gonna be watching it) or just disallow them to watch it altogether then it doesn't typically need to be censored. Hell, they've actually gotten lenient on swearing...I remember when NO profanity was allowed on basic cable type TV...now they let certain words slide as they are 'in the dictionary' Whatever...anyway, there's a more in-depth incite on how the FCC works...or at least as I understand it anyway ^.^'

yo i got a true story for ya tho. first i wanna say, government dont realize how exactly of kids are actually smarter than they think they are. never downplay a kids intution and sight of eyes and thinking of the mind on cartoons. its either they totally understand or they just plain plum loco and believe if you throw a dude out the 40th floor and he hit the ground he will leave a crater and get back up.

 ok my story:
i was watching cartoons one saturday and was watchin some 80's bugs bunny, my 9 year old nephew was over spendin the night with my son. he saw when bugs wore a woman outfit and kissed elmer fudd. his reaction...uncle L...bugs is ...gay ..ya know that right? he kissed a dude and he a dude.  i just laughed . but it dawned on me , he just crushed my childhood 80's cartoon in a milisecond.  he is very very smart. then he proceeds to get into a convo debate with me and my 10 year old son...who is even smarter. so ya mean to tell me dad yall watched seseme street when you was a kid like me? i was like well yes. you do know dad that burt and ernie were gay right?  when he ran down the reason i was just like wow! even tho i always KNEW it as a joke as a grownup, these 2 lil boys , totally read into it deeper and looked at it as yeah to them it is what it is. 2 grown men sharing bathtub time together and sleeping in the same bed . not roomates with seperate rooms but sleepin in the same bed! ..Kids observations of cartoons and kid shows are really out there.
 heck even Adventure Time ( garnered as a kiddie cartoon) has some subjective inuendos that kinda cross a few borders but in lighthardiness. Kids are very very aware indeed.

Well children are learning stuff at a younger age and they hear this stuff from other kids and what not. The internet is a huge reason as well. Kids can pick up of things and with the internet now, they are exposed to information that when we were younger, we were naive to. For example you type in bert and ernie and you will most likely find gay stuff with them. The child sees that is exposed. He tells his friends and one of them says "oh that is called being gay." and  that is how information gets spread. This also depends on what the parent exposes their kids to TV. I mean know some young kids due like 7-8 and they already know what gay is. Infact my brother's brother in law said "Justin Beiber is gay" and his 8 yr old niece who is a fan of him says "He isn't gay". This implies she knows what it means already. At 9 I had no idea what gay was or atleast I don't think I did . It  goes to show what kids depending on their environment or the kind of kids they hang out with, they can learn all sort of things. This has always been true, but with the way TV and internet is now, they are learning at a younger age IMO.

Yeah, I wish Saban releases Zyuranger subbed version (but those are available on Internet, and we gotta watch it before people delete videos  ).

I remember reading an article about Green Ranger (aka Dragon Ranger).  At beginning, when Japanese people decided to make a 6th ranger, they had huge debate (I guess some people didn't like the idea of having an extra ranger).

But when Zyuranger was recreated as Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, it became popular in the US.  Supposedly, Green Ranger is one of most popular rangers of all time.  It's funny that something  some people dislike always turn out to be popular after it appears in public (e.g., Dragon Ball, CowBoy Bebop, Mega Man, Cup Noodle, Jonathan Livingston Seagull and so on).

I saw my friend's boy used the word "rape".  I was like  (btw, he is 8 years old).  Probably, he got it from Internet...
