So this mugen thing.... I dont understand it? Is like Super Smash Brothers 4 ? That is my favorite game you know. I downloaded this from "esnips" and when I executed the .exe and I played the game and it was real cheaplike. Do you people really enjoy this. Anyway the Rare Akuma character in specifical is too uberpowered. Also I thought this was dead because people were angry about their violation of internet rights, correct? And I heard that the program crashes your computer and it makes the companies sue you. I think that is why mugen is not popular. Then why is this forum here. It reminds me of the king of fighters games because it was so broken I took it back to the store and got a refund. I played these brawling games since 1989, so I should know how these things work. Only Super Smash Brothers 4 is absolutely perfect in my eyes. This game is terrible in my opinion. So I want to hear your opinions

Well im just going out on a limb here and im guessing your really new to the Whole Mugen gameing world, and thats cool,weve all been there at one point, the Rare Akuma Character is a "joke" character he was made to be like really Crazy Strong and unbeatable, also i believe he was made because of people were making Edits of Akuma and calling it by different names,but it was escentially the same character just a few different moves, mugen is extremly  popular, hence the reason why there is this Forum and about a couple of hundred more, and yes there are many thing within the Mugen engine that can cause the Mugen engine Itself to crash, not your computer, i mean i guess you could possibly pick up a virus, same as you could by doing anything else on a computer and it cause your comp to crash,but not Mugen itself, ive been playing over 5 years and ive never had a comp crash because of mugen and i have well over 1,000 characters & god knows how many stages in those 5 years, and as far as i know as long as no one is selling there Mugen characters for profit, the game companies consider mugen as fan art not infringment , so unless you plan on makeing money off of this you cannot be sued by a gameing company, maybe you should do more research into mugen like on youtube, look at roster vidoes, or how to videos were mugen is concerned to get yourself more informed

Yeah I can tell you're new. After awhile you'll be able to tell good stuff from bad stuff before you download it. Esnips is a last resort for Mugen stuff. If you need anything, check the forums and databases first. Most of the Mugen stuff on Esnips is crap. The forums I recommend are IMT, CVG, and SGM. Welcome to Infinity! Nice sig btw. First, welcome New comer . Dont judge a book by its random cover if you havent really seen whats up with mugen entirely. mugen has come a very long way and even to Hi Res standards (blazblue quality). As far as the Crashes goes that can be a number of things. My mugen never "Crashed my pc". thats a heavy issue. Plus you messing with Esnips is a bad idea alone because its prone to viruses plus the char you are getting might not be the original created copy. Meaning what folks do "in bad taste" is edit another persons works (who created the char) and can f*ck up a char in coding and everything. So its best like Shadaloo Lives! said go to some good sites out there like this one to get the Real deal on what you are curious about in mugen.

As far as popularity goes. mugen is very popular. even Capcom knows about it. dont think they just decided to Come up with by chance Deadpool, Thor, Dante, Haggar, Viewtiful joe & even galactus for mvc3 either . Even Before they even released video demos of their Mvc3 story clips Folks in the mugen community been already created those characters "literally" play with and all that. The creative level is the most fun part in mugen. you can create anybody and thats the special part. And yes those mugen videos were 9 out of 10 times posted at Marvel's site and Capcom Unity im sure. So trust me mugen its pretty known in some cool underground way. It keeps the support of fighting games and "beat em ups" alive also. As far as profit yes like Zombierock says it doesnt work that way UNLESS youre gettin paid but you wont do that because then you can be sued . So Snk & Capcom are pretty sure and cool knowing its all fan love for their chars and material. hell IMO it gives them ideas if you ask me

As far as that Rare akuma you chose that was the worst way to get into mugen . i mean you didnt know but the community is way too big and not every char is cheap. its "you pick your poison" period

That same author (named POTS) of that rare akuma JOKE actually made normal well balanced and decent chars. even a "Normal CVs shin akuma".

That sillyness you got like Zombie rock said was a joke of his because too many folks were making Akuma all crazy.

Go here for Mugen POTS normal chars to start off. if you liked CVS2 but maybe "jazzed up" then start with those

just download his chars for the old version of mugen for now and get a better mugen engine from a better source.

So remember there are a ton of authors out there. Some still learning to create, some who are already experienced. some who like creating overpowered chars and some who like making Near perfect console exact chars.

just browse the forum and then some to take it from there.

SSB4? hey man to each they own on that one. . cool game  but well for me , Mugen is like... the holy grail of 2d fighter making.  you can create your hearts content with it. its only limited to your own imagination and skills at creating, programming and all those aspects of making not only  characters but stages and so on. you can also find great teachers in the mugen communityand ( by which mugen which is beyond popular as has been said many times.) its all over youtube and new forums are always poppin up. Its great fun and you actually find yourself gaining new skills you eithernever had ,  were not good at or were already great at and just perfecting them even more . Nah ya cant be sued by companies in mugen unless ya start trying to sells the stuff, big NO NO,  like said , its Fan Art.

As for Esnips... yeah thats an UHHHG place to get stuff.   best said , get the real deals at the forums . There are tons of great tools, cool open source sprites and stuff to create your very own versions  and as well you make you own from scratch, any character you want , its all on your imagination and putting in the good work to make them real. Mugen is def evolving as time goes on and new people get very creative in making new programs and new characters as well as video experts, voice actors , sound and music makers, art specialists, Fx creators and more and more in same and different fields are popping up . Heck my friend some of us have actually worked in the game companies fields and some still do. Mugen in all, is a great and fun way of freedom to express your own Art and play the great works others have done and keep your eyes peeled for the new stuff coming around from developers in mugen. Mugen is the Bomb!
