yes folks, I promised it, and with the help of my good friend aa250, we present, the x-man that NEVER makes it into any game (as a playable character, including mugen) until this very moment, the original, the avenging, and the wicked Arch- ANGEL

ok played with him for awhile. he def will need some updating . if you choose to of course.
he froze while in a hyper in the air and i got beasted in airby infinite irori to death while in the frozen hyper and then he went back up and knocked me out of it. :D
the hit sounds are KFM still some arent.
those wing animations while he is in standing position look both cool but then odd the way the wings flap doward and kinda do a curl or something.  i bet the wings were a pain in da a$$ to make too.
but yeah i can see you def could update him a bit more. :thumbsup:

In my honest opinion, you probably should not have released this guy yet... Seems he need's more sprites to make his animations smoother. He just feels incomplete...! Needs a lot more work...

no no i do want feedback, i didn't understand what he meant is all, i need more detail in feedback please not just the infinite loop comment, good or bad (usually bad helps improve the character) but yeah i think my comment taken out of context

and skeletor-x if i held off on the character, there wouldn't be any feedback to improve him, i will have something next week in the bug fixes, i think aa250has already begun on some and that hyper (air skyscraper) did not bug until the release, must have accidentally done something, ooooppps

-angel seems to have 2 moves serving the purpose of an uppercut.... not quite sure what the point of this is?
-qcb+p does way too much damage
-archangel's standing HP fills the entire screen.... is this fair? besides, it can be chained into itself 3 times.
-archangel still seems to shrink a bit when he walks

This is from about 3 minutes gameplaying. Obviously he needs work so good luck

Best for Arky to answer that question he did majority of moves and programming in this character. I just reprogrammed on to our template and fixed the bugs.

The Archangel sprites were made by SOS1 bros not us we got permission to use them they were going to be revamp. The move can be cancel out due to no priority since the blue box is covering around the red hit box.Technically this was suppose to be just Angel beta only, but I went ahead and coded the switch mode just for fun. I honestly think he should punch instead hit you with his wings
The switch mode is basically an Easter egg really.

Yes majority of the sprites need to be re sized as well as fluid, and more frames.

i figured since he had wings, on that spin (qcf +p) move, he could rise (not meant to be a uppercut)
the uplift however is (uppercut style)

seems alot of feedback is more on the "i don't know why you have it like this"
i'm kinda looking for alternative ideas, more detailed suggestions, as most of the moves, i had advise from the sos bros, so if people have better suggestions (now that they have angel working on their own mugen = or somewhat working hehe) but go for it lay it on us, i hear plenty of comments on "it's not ready", "you shouldn't have released this yet", "it feels unfinished", i never stated that it was, but i'm happy that it has come this far, (i've even copped abuse on it) but i really felt that this was ready for the mugen public to play with, the only way i felt to improve this WIP was to hear all of the feedback from this mugen universe, so please comment away, but if you want to help us improve this wip or alternatively if you have already improved it yourself, let us know how you did it, or drop us some detailed feedback on the wip, as if i don't understand the comment, i won't pursue to improve the issues

anyways i hope that the general mugen lovers enjoy a release,
(whether it's unfinished or not) :cool

Sounds like a great idea, but i kinda wanted both arch and angel to have a uplift/uppercut launch each but a wind projectile could be another option

The old Archangel did have an attack like that, but I didn't program it in due to the fact that arky wanted Angel to have winds attacks while Archangel uses the daggers. Angel does have a wind attack, but it can only be done in the air. I'll have one more update soon to kill the last remaining bugs I missed as well as reduce the damage. I'll see if I can cut down the hitboxes in Archangel standing strong punch since it to big. :P There is a good chance that in the future he will punch instead of hitting you with his wings. :) ,but that won't be for a while. I still have to program his A.I since he currently doesn't have one, but we are saving that for last.

I noticed you gave credit in the readme file for the code concepts you got from my chars for the mode switching but I also noticed you use my flight code as well (which is totally cool with me). I just have a suggestion to remove the "env shake" from the flight code since it relly doesn't belong there anyways. It was a correction I already made in Banshee a while ago and when I saw it in Angel it tipped me off.

Yes the switch code is yours and I gave you credit for it. The flight code came from the original Archangel character that sos 1 bros made I wasn't aware that it was yours though. I was going to reprogram the flight code using the one from our template, but I decided not two since the one he had worked. It not much different than ours. I'll remove that evyshake though.

Yeah the ground shake in flight mode was due to the Evy shake code that Acey pointed out, but it already been removed. ;)

so true with the clones man, i'm trying to get alot of unknown and not yet made characters started, and released as no one seems to be doing them, and it seems to be a shame that there are heaps of cool characters out there that are not done yet, but alas no one gets paid to build characters for mugen, and as it is a hobby for all of us, so i'm not suprised to see edits of existing characters and clones

we are leaving the switch, and i'm glad you enjoyed this character in it's state at the moment, there is alot of work yet to be done on him to get him better, but at this stage just getting the kinks out, is the main concern, aa250 has done an excellent job in fixing the issues we have had this past week, he needs to congratulated on this super effort

That does sound like a good idea plus Archangel doesn't have a level three super, but chances are if that hyper were to be used an old one would have to removed. we don't want to over load him with to many attacks.
