Spec Ops Wip

To all our old fans, here is a small trailer of what we are cooking:









There is more to come :)


But we will need help. If you think you can help us, drops me a line.
Things like color separation, palettes, edits, and even parts of code are welcome.

wish i could help you guys, but ive tried my hand at makeing mugen characters and have failed with flying colors lol so im just a big fan of the art  :)

Oh, finally i see what you cooked in secret until now :D

As an old fan of Spec Ops proj i'm really glad to see all them finally up! I'm glad to re-see Undead Rose too.. I remember her topic in the wip section, aside SO topic (later "moved" to a proper sez). At that time UR was really promising, but the topic was discontinued after 2 pages (or 3, if i remember well, with a single post in the 3rd page  8=|) <- I should have saved those pages on a cd hihihi ;D

I don't remember too well, but together to UR wip topic and "moved" SO topic, there was another wip topic in that page... maybe the monk fighter (shaolin-like)?

However, I'm really happy to see all the wips i've seen in these years finally in action (and not only mere screens :-" )
Keep up the good work!

if your going to make orginal characters, then i think you should do a bit more with the character sprites.

They all look too much like their bases yet their names suggest differnt characters on the most part.

Like sonic mechine could use some lines on his arms like cable has and a bit of shine to them to show he's metalic.

And that one guy looks way too much lke cable. If you removed the kneepads and changed the way the straps are on his chest, maybe removing the round parts that look allot like the X's that are on cable's sprites. And you re-use the same gun as cable but you give him some stuff from iron man.

Why does cammy now need fireballs?

The flashy effects are neet and everything  :thumbsup:
but the orignal characters to me just dont quite look orginal enough.

First,

I have a strange felling that everytime I make a post you make a post bellow with something against it...but It could be me.
I haven't anything aganinst you or anyone here, as I already stated before. But I know that you aren't obligated to like me. Its ok to me.


The chars looks their bases because...they are theyselves. Sonic is Guile, for example. Spec Ops is a alternative history line on SF story.

About Cable, even me thinks the same, but its Ethan's char, not mine.

two things:

1- its not now. She alread had it on Spec Ops
2- Because Ethan wants it.

Remember, its not the official SF story, its a alternative one. If we want to make Dhalsin use ice, we will make it :)

I'm looking forward to this project.
I like all of the characters in the trailer.  Especially undead Rose seems very interesting character there.  I didn't expect to see a Rose character with evil apperance.  She looks fantastic!!! :)

I need help on a easy task, but since my free time is short, I need help from you guys.

I need to apply a special palette to some sprites, to be used on MB-03, which is a shapeshifter.

What I need?
I need to transform the sprite on the left on the sprite to the right:

Using STRICTLY those colors:

if you took one, please inform me.


Another thing is to converted some sprites, on the same way, but for her attacks.
Actually, MB-03 can drain a move from an enemy, tranforming on it or on someone which he had fought before.

So, we need to have>

- sprites for a super move, like a hadouken
- sprites for a hyper move, like a shinku hadouken

Because she gains a super and a hypermove for each drain, like this:

Hyper


On this verstion, you can suggest moves from a char you would like to see.

But there are some rules:


- the sprite riper/char author must authorizes it
- Only sprites from SFA, MVC, CVS (capcom side only) Darkstalkers, Red Earth and Jojo

hmmm This just got even more interesting :O*D. I didnt think you guys were gonna do other chars aside from SF. so thats even better :thumbsup:. Now im wondering will there be a Spec ops Psy Locke or maybe Magneto to square off with spec ops M Bison (Vega)? >:D

A nice beat up super for Cyclops ending it with a huge optic blast would be nice

No, there won't be marvel chars on the Spec Ops game.

Those transformations will be avaliable just outside the Spec Ops game. For the project release, those transformations will locked, I am almost sure of that.


But....you gave me an idea...

About the pallette change, you made some white armour parts of CC in red parts, but then you wrote "strictly these colours" and for body cloths there is a variant of blue.. i suppose you repalletted wrong :P
However, if i follow the strict colours, a repalletting is an easy task... in that case, i've just picked all the files, tomorrow afternoon i'll see what i can do ;)
