Spec Ops Sean Updated

Here comes the updated version of the SPEC OPS Sean Matsuda by Ethan Lives, after a long time.

What is new:

> Standardization of the effects used
> New hypers: Jiryuu Gansai Shuu, Hadou Shouryuu Smash
> Changes in the other hypers
> Fixed several other bugs.

The spec ops made me wanna start thinking about creation. those chars still stand out like crazy..

I love this Sean character! :o :o One of the best Alpha sprite edits I've seen in a while and the updates are just awesome! I actually just tried him out and I gotta say I am just blown away. I do have only a few issues with him as of late:

1. His chain combos aren't what they use to be before the update. The punches and kicks aren't linked together.
2. Similar to the first concern, but involving the ariel rave combos. The punches and kicks aren't linked.

Comparing you last release and to days update, you have definitely upgraded this fighter beyond measure and I am grateful for an awesome character like this to be in my roster. I hope to see more from Spec Ops in the near future. You guys are doing you thang!! :w00t: :w00t: :thumbsup:

I've noticed this as well so I took a look into his cmd file, now correct me if I'm wrong O Ilusionista, but it seems that hes supposed to chain from weak>medium>heavy? So I went and changed every line that had "movecontact = 1" and just removed the "1."He chains normally now. The only thing is, he does high damage with his specials and supers. Though if i recall correctly, most spec ops characters do.

I found one problem if not another...

1. Either Shin Ryuubi Slash or Jiryuu Gansai Shuu (Midair Level 2 move) has a problem. If the kick is guarded, Sean will go right through the floor to the pits of Hades...you definitely want this fixed. I just tested him out myself and found it fast (I check all basics, specials, and supers accordingly)

2. It IS possible to combo with Sean, just much more difficult. And because of that he does high damage am I correct? Usually its just "movecontact" instead of "movecontact=1".

Overall...this Sean...fantastic!!  ::salute::

I went back and changed up the movecontacts, but so far, it only made his areil chain combos better. I was hoping it would allow him to chain his ground chain combos as well. You know from LP-LK-MP-MK-HP-HK, if possible.

If you remember back in MvC1, Ryu was not able to chain his Weak Punch to a Weak Kick, if my memory serves me correct. Maybe this Sean was supposed to sort of imitate the MvC1 gameplay?

PS: The only thing that i find was, that his super projectle is deflected by any other regular projectle. Is this on purpose ?
