I know how that feels. Which is why Searchman is on such a long hold. Spriting takes up time, and I have school to worry about.
By the way, Rage, I love you avatar and sig! The Peach one too.  :-[

Ok the basics are done.   #:-S
I didn't do what I originally planned to do for the getting up sprites.  (Which was rip off Megaman)  But I came up with a different simplistic way to sprite Needleman to to do it, which suits the purpose.
Now, on to the fun stuff.  I have some ideas of my own too.  :)

Thus far Needleman has these completed for moves:
1)  A Needle cannon forward completed.  Shooting sprites are done, and I just re drew a real nice looking Needle to shoot.  I'm thinking a diagonal up is in order to sprite too.
2)  The spiked head attack forward is completed.  I suppose I can sprte one diagonally up too..
3) Jump off wall shoot.  I have some unfinished, not quite right, reject sprites that are not used.  It kinda looks like with some work I think I can turn it into something neat.

Moves Suggested so far in prior pages:
1)  Uses those spikes on his head to lauch loads of needles into the sky, making a needle rain of some sort.  (Might make a good hyper.)
2)  He grabs opponent, trows him in air and then headbutt.  (I like this, it would make a nice throw)
3)  He jumps and throws three needles to the ground, like Zantetsu in Last Blade.  (I like this idea.)
4)  He pounds the ground and a big needle fall over the opponent, like Jazu in KoF XI.  (Just looked this up, not sure of it makes sense or not.)
5)  Needleman jumps into the air and covers the ground in small needles that stand up. So that whenever the opponet walks or lands they take damage! (Sorry I think think would be cheap.)
6)  Bubble with bomb similar, similar to Burst Man, but instead of trapping enemy inside of it it just contains needles that will spread in 8 directions on contact with enemy.  (This will work great as a power set move.)
7)  Use the weapon of Knightman.  (I dunno he could shoot a spiked ball for a power set move..)
8 )  Video showing needleman grab a big needle.  (Hmm need to think about this one, might work out as a hyper.)

They all sound cool. What if he summons a giant needle-lancer and gouges the opponent? Or he could make a needle shield, like Cutman's scissor shield. I personally think the needles-on-the-ground thing could work; just limit it to like two needles at a time. I'm sure there's a way to limit the amount of time you can use it.

The boomerang probably won't stay but the shooting sprites look cool.  :)
And yea, I'm finally getting really close to finishing the sprites for him.

Here are the two needles I have made so far.  Think it's suiting enough?  Is someone interested in making a diagonal needle for me?  (A needle that's slanted.)
Thanks

Ooo never though of that, I'm going to go look through Arthur's sprites.
Thanks for the help with the needles, they look much better now.  Would you be able to make the smaller needle diagonal too please?

the trick is: convert the image to indexed color and rotate the whole image 45 degrees CCW

You could also use Super Geon from King of Monsters 2 for reference!

Check out Needleman's basics.  I recently added all the sprites into the sff.  I'm quite happy to show it off after working on this for so long.  Thanks Excursion for recording this video for me.
Enjoy.

Man, that's really cool
At first I couldn't see it well and thought that thing coming out of busters is curled pike-head,but looking closer it wasn't ;*)) (which is great) Also like that "oopsie" kick kinda reminds me of clown stepped on banana pill :)

Yes all required ones added.

And why not?
Because I think, that every MM3 robot master, that others are working on, should be released at the same time, since they appeared in the same game...
