I agree on the variety thing. That was one of the many things that kept Arkham Asylum from greatness

Batman : Arkham Asylum........Kept from greatness...........Surely you jest /:O

BTW

I mean no offense to anyone. I am just highly opinionated in the area like most Harcore Fans. Some of us are from the camp that like Oneil, Miller, Moore, Dini, Grant Morrison darker history, and others like a classic Batman that also includes Dini but from a lighter aspect.

The debate rages on LOL

Well yeah, but Miller wrote the current 87-current origins of the character. Who wants the 1950-60's campy Batman stuff. The Burton stuff isn't accurate to any of that either? The modern Batman post 68 is the only one for me personally. I know Goyer/Nolan, Timm/Dini have publically stated Miller as one of biggest contributers to their visions.

DKR, Batman Year 1 are definitive in the modern origin of the character. I'd say Miller is one of the best without question. He and Denny Oneil were always tight which Oneil is certainly the definitive Batman writer of all time. They also worked closely on Daredevil which gave us most of the definitive characters of DD, Bullseye, and Electra.

I liked a lot of All Star Batman too. Most of the people I hear that hate that book are people who'd prefer Superfriends Batman to All Star. I cant diss the goddamn Batman, it was one of the most hysterical lines ever worded in a comic.

Just because Miller doesnt write long term story ars doesnt make him any less important. Miller wrote 4 issues of the 1st Wolverine Mini, and it's the single most important Wolverine story of all time because it made the character who he was. Prior to that wolverine was a bore with little backstory that leaped in the air with a claw slash once an issue. I'd say Miller made that character everything that he is as well.
I'm not dissing him because of his lack of long term story arcs and I'm not doubting that he wasn't a good writer, I'm just saying he's gotten a bit off track with Batman as of late.

The man who calls Batman "the most pure and noble hero" has him running over cops, acting completely psychotic, and of course calling himself the "******* Batman!" (least in the issues of All Star I read)

I did love his run on Daredevil though

Also Burton's movies were in their own continuity, that's why their so different from the comics. Just like how Nolan's movies were a different continuity. There's nothing wrong with having a different continuity in your movies

However don't let this mean I disrespect your opinion.

You took point one and made it both point one and three. You also dont sound very convincing in you secnod point. Despite your great levels of fail and sodium I will let you know what youre missing. The entire rest of the game .

You cant troll a good troll now please back on topic or start a new thread about why you feel Dark Batman is not as good as Campy Batman. You clearly have an agenda and I'm sure others perhaps even my self included would like to debate it with you. The Captain America video game thread is hardly the place. As maybe a month or two down the line some of our members would like to actually look at new information on this game. Not read through page after page of your long winded opinion's on the tone of Batman's intellectual properties.

Anyway the cap game looks like a skip to me.

It could be a good boring night renter, but I am not jumping out of my boots to get it. I will say i hope the movie costume ends up looking like this though. It would make me happier then the Ulimate Cap looking pics Ive seen.

I wasn't the one who started this whole Batman off topic debate. And I'm not doubting that it's a good game. It just has some flaws that prevent it from being the best

But back to Cap. I wonder if the game's going to be 100% set in WWII or if you play in the modern world at one point

I hope this captain america mgame does do well. as rest with all the other marvel movies- game renditions that are comin out. cap deserves a great game. i think they can add more evasion moves ( like the flipping around idea, thats so cap) and give him a bit more strength wise as well.  caps bench like 800 pounds maximum. So a punch from him is like getting hit by a sledge hammer with the least amount of effort and strength. So i hope his enemies, especially bosses, he gets to utilize that aspect of his physicalness.  I think he does need a touchup in the face and mask, he looks like a dodo bird jock in a superhero costume just going by his face alone. bu the rest is cool.
i love the play mechanics with the shield , yeah he said they still got some bugs with it to work out. Give ole caps some more moves, better arials, flips and evasion moves. better punches too, they look kinda fruity.  8-}. But what absolutley love about the game is that whole flow moving feature. he does look like the real deal when he is flowing from one move to the next when doing it timely and right when he going from one obsticle to the next .   .
I will pick this up....but only after i see more gameplay.
