They say that it will be RE4 and RE5 Mercs combined with a few added things. Here's to hoping they add classic characters such as Claire as well as classic levels such as Raccoon City or The Mansion. If it is just RE4/5 Mercs I will be disappointed! But at least Ada and Jill will be there  

I mean it's not as if they don't already have the character models and the stages. They could simply use them from Resident Evil Umbrella/Darkside Chronicles! It's the same graphical quality of the 3DS! Plus it means Jill could have 4 costumes! Well Chris has 5 so I can't see why not.

But RE Revelations looks great. We finally see some gameplay. Looks like Jill will play a larger/main role. Is it just me or is she beginning to look like Lara Croft? In terms of outfit anyway

Oh yea, a dream come true for me. I wonder what systems it'll be for. Whichever it is, I need to get it. That was my favorite part of the game and it's getting blown up into its own game. I can't wait.! Hunk was my man too, so am glad to see him getting displayed.

Btw, is that Jill in the 2nd pic too or a mock up with Lara's head.? Because the clothes look the same but the faces look different from pic to pic. If it's not a mock up, then yea, that is literally Lara Croft. >.<

That second picture is all Lara. One of her outfits in TR Underworld is exactly the same as Jills BSAA uniform minus the hat. It's quite weird really, especially with Jill now having a ponytail and the headset!

I'm going to presume 3DS only but I hope they make a PS3/360 version with loads of Resi locations and characters. Now that I would love to play.

I was going to buy a 3DS anyway but this has made me want it more

The big points:

Mercenaries to have wifi co-op
-Chris, Claire, Krauser, and Hunk confirmed so far
-Customizable characters, which include slotting skills you can level up and customizing weapons
-Aiming is done in first person



-Revelations will be a traditional RE survival horror game- limited ammo, puzzles, exploration, cheap zombie dog jumping through window scares, etc. but also utilizing the action gameplay of RE 4 and 5 (aiming while moving, free camera control, etc.)
-3D will play a big role in the survival horror aspect (adding depth to hallways, for example)
-Game stars Chris and Jill and takes place mainly on an abandoned cruise ship
-Both games TBA release date but Mercenaries is quoted as being "70% complete" and Revelations further behind at "20%"

I second this.  Somehow, killing zombies as Krauser in the middle of a post-apocalyptic Raccoon City just sounds like the height of epicness.

You know I'm not a HUGE RE fan, but I do like the game's stories...however, I still don't get the HUGE hype behind Jill...seriously, why does my girl Claire have to settle for trailing second best to that scaredy cat? For all her "training" and Claire's lack-thereof, she runs circles around Jill in combat (for those of you who disagree, go play RE2: Code Veronica and compare it to Jill's skills in RE remake on the GC ) Anyway, I'm wondering about something though...I wonder if this is the missing chapter that links RE2-RE5?

Let me explain a bit...POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERTS!

IIRC, RE2 left off with Claire and Leon parting ways...I forget what Leon went off to do, but Claire went off to find her brother Chris. Now, this is where the story gets a little confusing. Claire's continuation is RE2: Code Veronica so we know what happened to her and Chris next. Leon's next adventure was on a ship with Barry (I think) in that lost title, RE: Gaiden. Not sure what happened in that game as it was WRONGLY placed on the GBC (really Capcom?!  ) so I'll have to leave this part of the story at that. Claire's next story come in later, but I'm not sure if it's before or after Leon's exploits in RE4 as they meet up accidentally at that airport in RE:Regeneration, an OVA of sorts that is basically explaining the END of Umbrella and hints at something else that I won't spoil, just in case, and ends Claire's part in the RE mythos. It's quite possible that Leon may appear again in later stories though, as he doesn't seem to be done putting up a fight. Anyway, depending on where that story takes place, somewhere along the line both Leon and Chris got really high-profile security positions. Leon, IIRC was working for the President, or something similar, and Chris for BSAA...according to RE5 though, it would seem that Jill also had a position in the BSAA so now we know that much...but I'm wondering if maybe this new game is Chris and Jill visiting the ship from RE: Gaiden, as IIRC Leon sent Chris a message about/from the ship in Gaiden that he mentions in RE: Code Veronica...it all kinda depends on the timelines I guess...anybody know about when these games all take place as in how much time apart from each other? If this is true, that means we are gonna be dealing with zombies again as that is what was going on in Gaiden...it was still Umbrella.

Wow this looks Awesome!! I have dreamed  about a RE game like this for ages I only hope that they let us play as the classic monsters like Mr X and Nemesis as well if they do this will truely a dream come true (especially for me personally I have dreamed and been waiting for a RE game like this for years ) and agree about having Racoon city as a stage as well love to see that personally as well as having the classics zombies and monsters back again

this could truely turn out to be Awesome I Cant wait personally

hope they have all of the previous looks/costumes for the characters as well like Jill in her S.t.a.r.s uniform and claires RE 2 outfit etc hope we can use weskers and krausers super powers again as well like in RE 4 and 5 same goes for any new playable monster/enhanced characters as well like maybe Nemesis etc if so this is going to be Great!!!
