PS3 randomly decides what game it wants to go sidescreen. Help.

Some of my games go widescreen & I don't want that crap. I hate the letterbox style. I cant fix it. I told my PS3 to go full screen & it wont on my games. Like Red Faction: Gurilla. Its full. Some of the adds that pop up when I boot that game are in wide though but not the game. If I play Metal Gear Solid 4 or DragonBall Z: Raging Blast its wide screen. What is wrong with my PS3 or what am I doing wrong? Please help.

I am not 100% sure, but my PS3 is wide screen all the time, because the HD games want it that way. Anything above I think 480p will go wide. If this is it and you decide you want it full not wide and are willing to sacrifice the HD bring down the settings on your display.

Its never done this before & it did it like 2-3 days ago. Ive always had it full screen. I don't know why it did it randomly. I'm on support with Sony & they don't even know what is wrong. How do I make it full screen again?

I'd say try messing around with game setting and display settings. also try zoom on your remote/tv, maybe you changed the setting.

I know its not my TV. It did this when I was in PA. I live in NJ. So I know its not the TV. Also I don't have widescreen when I watch it.
