So what I gather is the ps3 is getting a collection of the first 3 Mortal Kombat games and the sprites are being up-scaled to be in HD, plus there will be a demo of the new Mortal Kombat game.

Apparently Warner Bros had this in progress for a while.
The game will have new actors and will be captured in hi def quality.

I mean its understandable because the original actors are kinda outdated and its been over 15 years since then.
Umk3 came out in 94-95 and its 2010 soon to be 2011 now.

So there will be a new cast of actors like I said, movements and behaviors are being captured, but I am sure the backgrounds wont be as difficult to remake but still I want to see some WIP images though!

So they're remaking all 3 games? That would be kind of tedious, I mean they'd have to redesign and create 3 outfits for characters that appeared in all games, take pictures of the animations for all 3 of the costumes (except probably Liu Kang who's MK2 sprites could get recycled for MK3). Then there's the coding for the actual game, the voice work, all which would take them enough time to get this out by the time MK9 comes out, I mean the only way it could come out by November is if they never sleep which may be the case since there hasn't been any images/videos released at this time.

HDR is not a swap there was balancing between ST and HDR. actually and now that Ed's working under WB it looks like quality is the name of the game at Netherrealm studios. A rebal is Highly likely and if not then theres still umk3 the best of the set anyway.

You can't be serious, the game played exactly like its counterpart and to make it worst, Ken's SRK was insanely broken.

Go play as sagat or akuma in HDremix then go play as them in 2turbo, then come back and tell me there was no balancing.

Akuma is irritating and I never had interest in sagat.

I basically played as Guile, Blanka, Vega and Bison.

I stayed away from ken for the reason I mentioned. Ryu felt excatly the same as well as Chun li.

He actually isn't AS retarded. He's still broken, but less so.

His air Hadouken. (The main reason he's broken) has been nerfed, it goes downwards at a lower angle, and it pushes him back a bit in the air so he can't spam it moving backwards at hard. (Though, even with that nerf, he's still broken crap.)

And as one guile to another, I can safely say that his flash kick has more horizontal movement that before.

There are gameplay tweakes, they're just not very noticiable.

Anyway, that's enough about HDremix. I hope in this game, they alow you to Play as noob. I know he was in the arcade version of UMK3, but he was in the SNES one (the one I own.) And I loved the silly bullcrap you could do.

Yeah, I forgot that. Chun-li's bird kick the most obvious difference, she doesn't fly across the screen and does some weird hopping thing.
