i used to play on schthack's server.  i stopped because there was way too much hacking.  its so discouraging to hunt for an uber rare uber weapon for weeks/months and then see a noob with the same thing.  within a week of starting up i had seen 3 noobs under level 4 with heaven punishers.   :(
and then came the swarm of j-swords with 4 100%s.  if anyone has ever played legit pso then you know my pain at hearing that

you go now, you barely see those weapons, and let alone on noobs. Some people though just mule on one character and build up another, thats what I'm doing, I'm saving rares for my next character, I already have a Lv200 mag raised for my next character.

Schthack has cracked down on hackers too. Even simple skin mods on certain ships will get you banned

I'm tryin again now, but when I use the jap mod, it changes the font o japanese and sYS THERE IS NO PATCH AVAILABLE..... oops, dunno how the capslock came on but I can't be bothered retyping :)

\-/oI'm done with it, I give up on pso forevermore now, I always spend hours trying to get it working, I've re-installed about  7 times now and every time I get a fault, No patch so can't type, 903 server connectoin error, just the same screen for like 10mins, game client update not working <_<|...|  the list goes on. I've spent about 3 hours tryin to get it to work ( not including the time it took to download it from sega ) I'm sick :-&

well thats encouraging. but he was doing things like that back when i was playing.  he force tekked all the untekked double cannons so i guess his heart is in the right place.  but the mods on there are hackers and theyll let their friends do whatever they want.  people can run around flashing pornographic images and flaming anyone and everyone if they know the right people.  its cool to hear that they got a patch to let you use jap only items, cause i always drooled at those.  some of the jap only mags were insane looking. and the ak-47 style guns?  booya.  but still....that game just makes me sad.  its too frustrating being legit and theres not much point playing a game with cheats for more than a week.

@ toph: how long have you been playing and whatre your char names?  mine was /cyberjaws but since i havent played since april my chars been deleted.

that has nothing to do with the registration, that just changes your networks host file so you can access the server. All you do is go to the run option on your computer and type in this.....

-----------------------------------------------------------------

notepad.exe c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

------------------------------------------------------------------

and then run that, you'll get a notepad looking something like this.......

------------------------------------------------------------------------

# Copyright (c) 1993-1999 Microsoft Corp.
#
# This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows.
#
# This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each
# entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP address should
# be placed in the first column followed by the corresponding host name.
# The IP address and the host name should be separated by at least one
# space.
#
# Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual
# lines or following the machine name denoted by a '#' symbol.
#
# For example:
#
#      102.54.94.98     rhino.acme.com          # source server
#       38.25.63.11     x.acme.com              # x client host

120.0.0.3       localhost

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

just add this line of code under the last line of code like so it looks like this.....

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

# Copyright (c) 1993-1999 Microsoft Corp.
#
# This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows.

120.0.0.3       localhost
207.210.93.28 game01.us.segaonline.jp

--------------------------------------------------

this line ->207.210.93.28 game01.us.segaonline.jp

is the only line of doe you add at the end, you change nothing else. So copy that line, and add it to your host file after the very last line of code you see. What you see that i have type is similar to my host file, so you do not copy everything here, just that last line of code. The stuff written before that last line of code is just an example of what your host file will look like, but that last line I specifically pointed out you will copy and use.

that should be correct. If that' not working, try adding the Japanese patch. All you do is download it, and unzip it into your Phantasy Star Online: Blue Burst folder that is found inside your Sega folder. You can find the patch on the forums, under the PSO: Blue Burst section, it's in the first few lines of stickies. I know sometimes people need that.
