Music in stages

ok I'm trying to put original music into stages but for some reason whenever i play the stage i get no music, and I make sure I put the music files in mp3 format, i have them in the sound folder and I have the music coded to play in the stages' .def files. can anyone tell me what the problem might be?

I could be your sound settings in the data/mugen.cfg file. There are a series of plugins you can find for mugen then after putting them in the plugin folder you need to add them to the mugen.cfg file under the sound settings.

or your sound might be muted on your compute

or you might have left the folder "sound" out of the code when you typed it into the stage's def file

sound/yoursong.mp3

Just some thoughts...
