Wow, that really is a top quality machine there. I am envious (I'm the type who would rather own a piano than a bed.)

Feel free to compose some original music that could be used in Mugen... I know Banshee and Hulk 2099 both need some original music...

Haha well a big grand can be used as both ya know! Heck I've even had a few girlfriends tell me after I played for them that they want me to... well... I think you know where I'm goin with that :-"

As I stated before I am interested in makin BG music remixes or originals. I am hoping that I will be able to release it over at OC Remix, as I like that site very much. But first I need to make it! When I can get around to it I will talk to you about the direction you want to go with it. Thanks for the interest!

my computer can do all that and more with a midi keyboard of about 200 dollars and why would anyone want to play drums on a keyboard. so i dont really see the big deal
No it can't buddy, you might be able to use a your junk keyboard hooked up to your computer to control some crappy sound fonts, but its nothing like this. You need to stop acting like you know what your talking about because you don't and your f**k** pissin me off. This isn't the first time you've gotten in my face on one of my topics, and I'm about 5 seconds away from makin you look like a moron.

yes it can. ever heard of fruity loops. many artists make whole songs with it that sound great.

WOW!!!! Your really on the cutting f**k** edge there man!!! Holy crap no I've NEVER heard of fruity loops! It's only built into Cakewalk Sonar 2.0XL, which I bought when I was 18! Not to mention Cubase which I also own. Do a little f**k** research on what your talkin about and you'll find out that I can push one key on that keyboard and it will play a whole damn beat from either presets or beats I make myself. Its called a dual polyphonic arpeggiator combined with realtime patter play/recording. Think of what I can do with, whoa... 2 keys!?! And what I just mentioned is why people play drums on a keyboard. Your not sitting there playin every drum hit with your fingers... 8=| crap, I could just sample the damn fruity loops into the keyboard and use them like that! What you fail to realize is that this keyboard can do about 100 more applications professionally than just what your tryin to critisize it for. You gonna bring your $200 Casio on stage along with your computer to play live? ;*)) Pretty narrowminded on your part, but what can I expect...

Your just some smug, jackass kid with a tiny bit of knowlege and a chip on his shoulder. You have no idea who your messin with do you? Keep going you presumptuous little brat, I dare you. How stupid do you want to look?

To everyone else
I don't get it, was I wearing a "please undermine my knowledge and purchase descision making skills" shirt or what? :-??

well it looks very cool :O*D
anyways why would you buy something like that? :-??

i'm joking lol i'm sure yo have some use for it :D
/:) Well um... being that I'm a musician and I have my dual associates in music engineering/production, I'd say I have a use for it. I don't think I'm about to shell out that kinda money just because I want bragging rights. This is what I do, I'm a musician. Its how I make a living, and not to toot my own horn, but if you check out the, "post your ride" topic, I'd say I make a pretty good lving at that. Like I said before, I certainly didn't sit on my butt all day to earn the money for it...

Right now since I moved and sold my studio out in MN I'm stuck whoring myself out to local bands to make money and a name for myself. I had a Korg N1 before this. This thing blows it out of the water. Its not like I'm that finacially well off right now, but I wanted a new, better keyboard for helping me get started out here in the buisness. So I bought this.

Maybe in the future you guys will get some BG remixes from me, since this thing could basically write a song on its own. Maybe. When I make music it has to be perfect, and that takes some time... and I don't think BG remixes could make me any money... In fact, I would probably just give them away for free like OG Remix does.
DUDE i was joking LOL i knew you must be a musician.

You must love the abuse or something kid! Why don't you go look at some of the reviews of that keyboard by professional musicians... 10 out of 10... 10 out of 10... 9 out of 10... 10 out of 10... The lowest I ever saw was an 8 out of 10. These are overall scores based on performance and value. You think anyone would be buying any Tritons or similar keyboars at all if you could just get the same performance with the setup you say is just as good? What, are you the smart one and all the professionals are dumb?

As for the drum thing, its obvious that with almost all instruments, even the best samples can't 100% compare to the real thing. But you can come close enough. Especially depending on what kind of music your playing. Turn on a popular music radio station. Hear all those drums? Fake! They're good imitations of the real thing, because that way, you don't have to pay a real drummer and deal with micing the set. And with certain types of music sampled drums can be better than the real thing, like with techno and electronic music. Real people could never play those beats, even on an electronic drumset. Guess how they make those beats? An arpeggiator! Guess whats the easiest way to control them. Trigger them with the keys of a keyboard!

Laptop - $700
Non weighted junky keyboard - $200
Software and Samples - $100-$200 (your gettin off easy on that one. You even want to come close to sounding prof., $500-$1000)
Making a fool out of some cocky kid - priceless L-)

Even at that forgiving price, your getting close to what I paid for my keyboard, and you can't even touch the capability and potential of it. You'd be onstage screwing around with your computer setting things up between songs and people would boo and leave. Just stop posting. I'm sick of your crap kid. I was a long time ago. This is my topic, and my profession. The fact that you keep posting after its completely apparent that your totally wrong is just immature. Face it, I schooled you. You deserved it. Live and learn. Nobodys right all the time.

Pretty much??? ;D Wow... um ya... this thing could run a nuclear power plant on its own. A 5 year old could make his own music with this thing. What I can do with it is beyond amazement. But bro... I'm not tryin to be mean but... ever since I played the original street fighter 2, I've absolutely hated the dhalsim stage (I know, spelling...) because of that elephant sound your talkin about. It drives me bonkers. I'm sorry dude, but I'm not going to make a song with that sfx in it...
