Looks like I need to get a PS3.

This is the only game I've ever felt afraid of playing because if I get into it as much as I think I will, who knows how long I'll be gone 'cause I really won't care to play anything outside of this.

I hear ya Bats - The game looked rocky for along time but is now shaping up - The combat still looks a little iffy but, with almost 6 months left till release theres plenty of time to polish it - I have been addicted to City of Heroes for years & am now ready to move on to a new superhero MMO - It will be fun to watch this new MMO grow threw patches & addons @-)

I am hoping that this game will be good as I will more than likely buy it despite the fact it'll kill my social life....Never got into an MMO for that reason.

With an MMO being constantly updated and upgraded regularly at least this way if it dies go wrong they can attenp to fix it, as long as it doesn't go down the Star Wars galaxies route if course.

This looks very detailed...but we all know that detailed and visually impressive online games lag because of it. I wonder how will deal with this issue?

I'm glad they added Steel to this game. He looks great.

Suicide Slums?! I know that Steel is protecting that region, but what of Black Lightning?

I am excited about this game, but I am still curious about the character creation, also what limitations there are.

So, let's see here.. Pay-to-play, micro transactions, and expansion packs.. Yea.. They found a way to f*ck it up. I understand paying for expansion packs and all but it's pay-to-play now and micro transactions to boot.? So many people are gonna back away from this game now, idiots. What happened to they'll never charge to play and that in-game ads would make that sure.? o.O#

I might have to disagree a little - I'm happy about the pay to play - It means good support & quality updates threw the years - If the game sucks then no one would pay for the next month to play it - So they'll be forced to listen to customers advice to fix things we dislike & give quality expansions to keep us hooked - If it was free then I would be worried that what we get at launch would pretty much be it besides a few patchs to fix bugs & maybe one expansion down the line then the game would tapper off into oblivion - The first month will probably be free with the purchase of the game & 15 bucks a month to play afterward isn't that bad for a game you like - You almost spend that much watching a movie at the theatre that lasts 2 hours - I'm not trying to change your mind Bats on the pay to play - In fact I agree that some might be turned off on the idea who arn't used to the way MMO's are ussually handled @-)

It shouldn't be this way though. If it's a good game people will buy it (and the expansions gladly). The pay-to-play will definitely drive a lot of people away. Not to mention, I heard the president of Sony said they'd never do that as in-game ads would make sure of that. All of a sudden it's pay-to-play.

I know it's not an unheard thing that MMOs work this way on the PC but this is coming to PS3 as well and they already said they wouldn't do that. So, to me, this is crap. They took something that could be amazingly great and drove a lot of people away IMO.

Man...I wish the subscription came free with PS Plus or something. This looks good, but I won't do the monthly payment thing.

:D

Seriously, has there ever been a console game where you pay a monthly fee?  :(|)

Other than that, this game looks pretty cool.
