Forum Down - 3 days lost

Hey all,

Summary: A Forum Module blew up and as the problem was fixed, another problem was created. In the end we simply restored the data from Sunday's (May 30, 2010) back-up.

Details: I logged in last night to back up the forum as I tend to do about every 3 days but sadly the forum was broken. Oh, the irony. The nice people at tech support informed me that there was little they could do to help the broken module since it was part of the forum software and not the actual database itself. I also put in a request to have our old backup restored. As I went through Google search engines to find the solution I was able to track down the module that must have been the problem, but in the process of learning the correct issue to fix a lot of other files became "mismatched" so to say, and restoring older versions of the php files proved to only complicate the problem. Well, by the time the problem could have finally been solved the request to reset everything back to Sunday was already processed, so even at this moment as I was about to go in and attempt to fix the final parts of the broken php again, the backup was restored and we are left with 3 days missing. It's almost as if were we collectively abducted by aliens and the last 3 days never happened, except for some really sore posteriors.

I know I'll be working to catch up my missing posts, including the release of EoH version 6.0. I look forward to everyone else also helping to fill in the missing gaps.

May this never happen again, with the EoH release on Monday and now this, I am really falling behind on sleep and I'm starting to get really crabby.

I THINK THE BIGGEST LOSS HERE IS THE COLLECTED DATA FROM THE EOH 6.0 BUG REPORT. THERE WAS A LOT OF GOOD INFO THERE THAT NOW NO LONGER EXISTS.

IT SEEMS THERE ARE FORCES AT WORK HERE DON'T SEEM TO WANT US TO GET BETTER AT THIS.

Who would want to waste all that energy to have forces at work to stop us from making a silly game we all made as a hobby and its free.
I doubt it was anything more then some sort of glitch, no forces.

Yes, and I'm pretty sure it's G-Lux who is hacking away at us.

EDIT: I just realized that they're some posts removed during 3 days of this forum's down. Man, I'm so pissed about the posts being removed already.
