Michael Bay to Reboot "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles"

Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon have partnered with Michael Bay and his Platinum Dunes company to produce the new live-action "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" movie, which will reboot the film series.

Last October the rights to the "TMNT" franchise went on sale and Nickelodeon picked them up for $60 million. Around the same time, Paramount made a first look deal with the Platinum Dunes partners. The producers will begin meetings with writers in the next few weeks.

The last "TMNT" movie was the first to not be live-action. It was released in 2007 and grossed $95 million in worldwide ticket sales on a $34 million budget.

A Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot? Michael Bay's version of Transformers was astonishing (even though to many, the Transformers looks liked a pile of sheet metal all clumped up into one). How will he handle this?

I really want to see the dark version of the ninja turtles.

It be a mix of watchmen with the dark knight but I know they are gonna go for the kiddie friendly style.

Bleh, I guess we will just have to wait for the first trailer.

Reboots are for series that are stale or tanked

TURTLES never did ether. everthing these days are Sh!+. everthing is being rebooted and . . .  im done im just too annoyed now.

As long as we have the sin city turtles or "Turtle Prime" I think it will be ok. I can't really say much because I don't have anything to look at to give a critical review.

I love how they cut off Shredder during his speech.  That is the direction they need to go.
