He can have a coat if that's how he wants to sprite him. Uzume may have had a hood if anyone else sprited her. I just like the hoodless look better.

OK. I agree with you on that, Shadaloo. If that what he wants. Then he can give it a go. I guess so. If he wants to finish only one character, then it might be enough for him since he's not interested in Anime. I care about what he likes though.

Zaxis - take your time bro. ya always wanna make sure you get your sprites to resemble who or what your trying to get the sprite to look like. no rush man. plus we have an edward elric sprite on deck provided by Angeleks. def take a look at it and  if you wanna edit it a bit more please try it out. Anime can be difficult in spriting but of any kind of spriting can have its moments. many of us hit a brick wall sometimes especially when your spriting something outside your norm. but check out the sprites  he allowed us to use that he posted in the ABR test sprite thread. Oh and yeah what shadaloo said, the coat is allowed now. At firs ti didnt want it and wanted just the black outfit look but ehhh we can roll with the original look.  You should hook up with Enso and definetly get some cool inside tips on doing edward because he is doing Scar and enso is pretty good spriter in the style we are doing as well and you both can actually collab together. But if he asks you to be his dance partner ...i have nothing to do with that.

Using the CVS Rock for Edward Elric makes me think of Michael Jackson's look especially his pants. Axel Foley has the CVS Rock edit for Jiro. I'm not sure of CVS Rock edit can be used for Ed. Otherwise, they might be the same. How about frankenspriting? This is my technique whenever it comes for different looks. This is what I do with Scar and Naga.

  Well, who else should i use parts from?  In comic book chars, the sprites are more mvc (which in my opinion are easier, but i do like cvs sprites).  As for coatless, let me see what i can do.

I don't care if you do him coat or coatless. It's all about you sprite whatever form you want. If you want to do him in coat, then go for it. Do something that's easy for you. At first, I started out with Scar in an easy way, but after I finished him, I started to regret and did re-edit him to a better one. If you don't like what you have done, you can make a better look that you want/like.

You can watch Fullmetal Alchemist on Youtube 'cause I'm trying to catch up with Scar's moves. If you haven't watched FMA before, then it would be better for you to learn and study the moves from a character you're working on. It's research. I'm researching for most of Scar's moves too by watching episodes of it. I didn't catch some after 'em, but I have some that I can remember. You can take a look of the videogame where you can find some attacks for your character.

Zaxis, I think you can use the CVS Rock base to edit. I can give you a guide for spriting or frankenspriting the CVS Rock base into Edward Elric. I won't explain in writing but just to give you ideas of how to sprite in my style.

If it's Rock with jacket, then you can go with the coat. If you want Rock without a jacket when he has his T-shirt on, you can sprite him without a coat. I'm helping you with ideas.

Probably Shadaloo and Malik voted for the coat on. But I haven't decided which one.
