Hmmmmmmm I thought this was a pretty good theme & kind of thought there would be more entries.

Remember the rules & do not dog any of the hard work from anyone! Please refrain from mentioning who you think made the sprites as well. Thanks!

DARN! I was gonna have a lot of fun with this theme! I just didn't get a chance to sprite anything. I went with Bulma!
Isn't Yamcha/Vega just a recolor with longer hair?

@Sway: Yeah, it does look like it.. doesn't look like Yamcha at all, not even halfway...

I was going to sprite.. actually last night at the last minute, but I totally passed out after work... ... Mine will be in my Sprite Edits thread.. I was actually going to make a pretty good one but just didn't have the time...

@DT: Maybe you should make these like.. every 2 weeks to turn in your sprite.. not just 1 week to turn in your sprite.. and send out reminders in the chatbox or something every week... Could work much better.

week 47 was 2 weeks & I still only received a small amount of entries. I think with spring/summer here the comp has just died down. Last summer I did the " Sprite of the month " I think it is that time again

I have to disagree with that. Late entry was late. Shouldn't have to bend the rules for it. It's fine that it got added in but technically that sprite got more time to be worked on then others. The other spriters might of wanted to add more to their stuff but due to time, they didn't. If anything, I think the fact that they missed out on votes because they entered it late is the penalty.

No offense to anyone but I just think this was a weak idea for this week. I mean, with MK, I thought people would be into that, but seeing how as this is a more superhero oriented board I'm not too sure. I would suggest Soul Calibur as the next theme...but...

A stage contest would be a nice change of pace

You're right on that, IMO. This is a much more Capcom/Marvel oriented board and those types of topics will draw in the most spriters/votes around here.

I just try to pick different ideas so the contest doesn't get boring. When it was symbiote week twice, people were complaining that it's already been done.

What is so important about week 52 ? I thought maybe week 50 would be something special

Oh I get it, but it has already been over a year for the comp. Last summer it became " sprite of the month " & there were some comps that went on for 2 weeks. So that is not really an accurate count

If you look at the first contest post 8 pages back. The official start of these sprite contest was....
