METAL GEAR/ GHOST IN THE SHELL-COMPLEX SCREENPACKS WIPS!

Alright, well for starters the nexus screenpack has been put on hold. Reason!, not enough ideas or materials to motivate me to continue on with it. Now!, the replacement is a very familiar and In my opinion a better screenpack. I have started this screenpack which is based off my first works. A good friend by the name of QuickSilver render his time and help with logos and beta testing. This Sp will be base upon the new anime series and feature small elements from my previous Ghost in the shell-Sp. The title for this new Sp is Ghost in the Shell-Stand alone Complex. Also, based upon the psp game.

I have completed the Title Screen: It has a neon blue Glow it's not animated but, is very cool.

Animations: The hex's boxes fade in and out but the colors changed to different one's.
Also have the matrix style numbers randomly appear across the background. This idea is closed to the actual matrix but, the idea was also used in Ghost in the Shell manga anime's.

The option Screen features the same style and animation scheme:
Floor fades in and out from different colors and the matrix style numbers are enclosed inside the option box.

The Select Screen is going to be fun to finish, this is what i have so far.

Animations: The select floor changes colors like the option screen does also the monitors flickers like a old computer monitor. It's hard to see the animations in the screen shots but, yeah I will post a vid. The monitors also have  Ghost files written across them to make it seem more close to the anime monitors. Like when they are searching for a suspect and so on. The center of the HUD has a small ticker like a data reminder of some sort scrolling from left to right at moderate speed.

-I have not decided what to do for the rain-meter in the background. I would like to make it have animations but, I not been able to find a decent looping animation of the rain-meter.

Due to this being a new thread, but yet the thread having already being in motion. I feel like this is appropriate to start from. If you would like to see the original thread go over to guild or infantry to catch up on it. Metal Gear and Ghost in the shell-Stand Alone Complex are being work on as of now.

Select Screen Updated!
-Added name brackets for characters select box. Gives more depth and style.
-Fix data box top frame so the words would appear to be enclosed inside the select box itself.
-Added the HUD frame up Top might add some type of animation, not sure yet. I have a idea in mind, maybe it might work out. o_O

Small but yet needed cosmetic updates to the select screen.

>Fix the gradient glare from the bottom of Major face.
>Added new word details to her Bg.

Another Small update to selection Screen!

-Changed the select port cursors. ::)
-Added a new monitor or data box to the center of the select HUD. Still in the making not final yet --;
-Making custom ports as well 8)

Small Update!

-Added more custom made ports.

-Added a new monitor  to the select Hud.

Still need to move the monitor over a bit, but I wanted to post this to show progress is still being made.

Hey buddy, nice concept you got going on here, perhaps the "Ghost Profile!" logo on the portraits could be a bit lower.

Update: Loading Screen!

This is my very first and on custom loading screen. Thanks to Syn for all of his previous tips and feedback. I was able to figure how this suppose to work. It displays after the title screen and before the select screen. Yeah, it's not a full game, but it gives more depth from my previous screenpack.

This, New Loading Screen is base on the psp title concept for stand alone complex. I believe this is a better looking loading screen. I will do the loading frames tomorrow after work. Both loading bars will be moving simultaneously but, will meet at the end together.

Cosmetic upgrade!

I made p.1 and p.2 place holders for the big port data profile box's. I thought they looked a little naked and needed some else added to them. Matrix data animation also added in the Back ground. The select screen is complete. Now to make life bars or edits :P, have not been so successful making from scratch yet. --;

OK, here are the life-bars so far. I know I have to move the timer over a bit. Just wanted to show progress, must also find a female announcer voice. A female with a tech like voice, might change combo fonts.  --;Don't know yet and yeah this one will be complete. :sugoi:

Another Update for the life Bars!

-Fix the timer position much as I could. Still, it will not be the final look for the timer and any ideas for the timer would be cool.
-Added a Portrait box for the life bars.
-Still not the final look but, I'm open to reasonable ideas.
-Still must changed the "Go" animation and find different songs for the announcer.

Well, I started back on the MGS screenpack. I was not please with the previous look I had started before. The title screen will be different but, the core of the game will remain the same. I hope I don't have to change any other things. Will this is what the title screen will look like and the option screen also. Ideas and feedback is welcome to generate more cool ideas. I will try my best to make another decent screen pack and not a pile of junk. --;

Just for the Luz.... of you die hard fan's, who wait to see more progress. I have successfully coded the animation part of the codec. ;D The bars move up and down and this is actual in-game pic's. I will continue to take my time so I want screw this baby up. Also, the big port box is being build not final yet. --;

OK, a short vote on what title screen you guy's think should represent. Also I installed the small character select box's. The number of slots should be 100 if counted correctly and I managed to upscale the ports for the Big port's box.

Another Select Screen Update!

-Added Player's 1,2 place holders above Big Port pic's.
-Added green static and green overlay to Big Port Box's
-Added the broken static effect that flickers like a monitor.
-Made some custom Bullet Icons for the select team modes.
-Another option render of Good Merly for the fan's

I wanted to add the scan-lines effect, it did not turn out that way for me. I had tried

over a dozen things but, I was not happy with the results. Still the screenies are

captured and save in  png format, still it does not show the beauty of it. I was thinking

of adding a scan-line effect from button to top I don't know yet.

Been working on the select a bit and it's really starting to come full circle. Also, the vs screen has it's custom boss port.

-Added number data animation, still building the vs animation concept.
-Added a custom border to the big port box's.
-Also fix the scale of the characters ports. Syn pointed it out to me ;P
-The select screen now has a secret character and boss select box.
-Move the characters name from over the characters selection area.

Life-Bars Being Constructed! ;D

I'm using the default mugen lifebars made by Zion. I'm only using them as a template but, also a guide. I need to customize the power-bar next and split the multi bars. Also add custom sounds which will be fun. I also have added a new port box for the characters with a faded green overlay. I don't know should I leave it static or add some type of scan animation. Time and replies of ideas will only tell. I need someone who knows how to convert fonts if they have time. I have the fonts already index just need to be transferred over into mugen.
