when it comes to villians it usually outta random not really popularity,   shuma gorath? blackheart? and others are villians no one really knew about.  i say venom should sit this game out and carnage take ova!    personally sandman would be pretty lame.  cool moves but lame character.

If memory serves me correctly Carnage is actually dead in current continuity...probably axing him from the roster before he could even be thought of for this one...but again I could be wrong here...anyone know for sure?

Carnage isnt dead, the symbiont is in outerspace thanks to Sentry . as for kurtus its unknown if he was in the suit when it was ripped in half and tossed into space.

edit: Kust is dead but the symboit is alive tho

Remember Capcom is going to want to attract old lovers of the MvC series (us) and people who barely knew it existed until they saw a cool trailer with that guy from Street Fighter 4 and Wolverine fighting at E3.

In New Avengers #2, Carnage is one of several supervillains trying to escape from The Raft. Sentry finishes him off, flying Carnage outside the Earth's atmosphere and ripping him apart. According to Iron Man's computer, Kasady may not have been inside the symbiote when the Sentry ripped it apart. However, it is later discovered that Kasady did in fact die in the incident, and that the symbiote will return to Earth to find a new female host.

I personally don't care what gender carnage is. As long as he comes back i'm fine. And I bet when he finds his new host, he's going to be much more powerful or atleast strong enough to avoid being ripped apart by Sentry again. Maybe carnage or venom will be a boss or something. Venom in Web of Shadows was quite massive and could be a very interesting boss, and if you read the comics, carnage absorbed multiple symbiotes to become stronger+more massive, so he could be a boss after that boss.

While that Deadpool vid was funny, what can he actually do? I think I've only seen him do a shoryuken and.....his gun special, but what else?

Also, this game needs a tiny character, like Servbot. It would be funny to use him to tick people off to get under peoples Beam/Projectile spam games.

Deadpool Supers will include,

A move where he runs back and forth,slicing the enemy back and forth.

And the unmatched LIFE BAR ATTACK!Deadpool will grab his life bar and start beating the living crap out of his enemy

And a move where his bullets go out of control

Striders brother This time (but with a duel LvL3 super with strider)
Chaos legion chars (ill say again)
Bionic commando (maybe an unlockable retro alternate look from NES with the cool spikey hair)
Ken (nes street fighter 2010. The dude has Razor kicks. moves like a ninja and has fist blasts. why not??)
Wesker
The suped up brainwashed Jill valentine from RE 5
Monster Hunter Char
Dino Crsis main character
Captain Blue
Maybe the cHar from Dark sector. He reminds me of Guyver anyway
Arthur (let the guy get some love! all those super armors should have gave em some props by now)
Fire brand (from snes Demons Crest but give an a lvl 3 super where he turns into the Ultimate gargoyle like in the game)

i mean come on Capcom gotta step up a bit more. Dante,trish,V joe were their best. Chris was cool but id rather see Wesker.
They shoulda gave Chris a surprise lvl 3 tag team super where Leon Jumps in for some action

Firebrand would be cool. Now that I've been reminded about his existence, I really, really want to see him get in on this.

Some of the Megaman characters would be pretty sweet too, especially if they pulled from the X Universe a little bit. Vile would be more than welcome in book, especially to bolster the Capcom Villains side.

It's called marvel vs. CAPCOM It would be just about the dumbest game I've ever seen if they didn't include thier most popular/well known character.

And about venom, even if he does make it in its probably going to be mac gargen, (and if that happens I'm not buying this game almost tempted not to get it with the exclusion of Cyclops but thats not the point) and if eddy's in I hope he'll be anti-venom.

Like the guy said above, they wanna attract all the old fans and though I LOVE Mac Gargan, I love Brock better and I agree, if they dont put eddie in , I ain't buying, I mean the exclusion of Cyclops IS bad enough... If they do add Mac, add Eddie as a alternate costume or character, because I also love Anti Venom but nothing beats old, butt kicking nostalgia like MVC2 in a 3D atmosphere, am I right fellas?

Calm down bro, no one is whining, no one HAS to buy the game if they are not content or comfortable playing it.  Even if its ONE character we love thats cut, its ONE character we love thats cut.  Its as simple as it sounds.  You buy what your willing to play and this game needs to bring nostalgia to people with new graphics.  We dont need to be happy its being made, we need to be happy that their is still a CHANCE the game will be good and that those characters will stay.  Thats what we need to be happy about.  Whining is complaining over dumb things, complaining that your fav chars wont return, is a justified complaint.
