Ok, just got done playing with Manolo and noticed a very important thing:

The HUD sucks. Plain and simple. May be pretty to look at, but it's confusing as hell.

It does suck. I constantly call the wrong assist and not to mention switching in a dying character instead of the one intended... 

I love Vergil though...

And it's so shameful to announce stuff that's already inside, I'd died from shame if I where them. looks to me like everyone will be able to do a 100% damage combo if they have at least 3 bars. and for vergil is it as easy as it looks? from what i can tell its a combo into launcher, S knockdown, devil trigger, then lvl3 otg?

I agree, everyone should be able to do one 100% per match (which is still only 1/3 of your team) with XFactor. You just have to get the combo started then make it through the whole thing.

I don't know how many really care but I can't get any lvl 3 anti Phoenix combo to work in Ultimate. It seems like she can block earlier then normally in vanilla when she transforms. Hell even wesker's won't work

What I want to know is why are the unable to provide real DLC, is the game that complicated that they have to provide it on disk to eventually be DLC?

That is why I still love to play the original Unreal Tournament and Quake 3 Arena. I also love UT3, and no matter how long I stop playing them, I always go back for more...

It's not as easy as it looks. Timing is everything. The commands are:

L, M, H, Forward + H, Special, H, Special, J. M, J. M, Special, Devil Trigger, Level 3, Special, J. M, J. M, J. H, Down +H, Down-Forward + H, Air Hyper…


Of course it's not as flashy as other Vergil combos we've seen, but does the job...  

The tricky part is the timing on the Level 3. If you do it during the Devil Trigger transformation or too early, you will DHC into your next character's hyper, and if you wait too long it will whiff. You have to do it right after the Devil Trigger animation ends, but once you learn it becomes second nature.  

There is a shorter version which is the one I do often and still dishes about 600k in damage. The commands are:

L, M, H, Forward + H, Special, H, Special, J. M, J. M, Special, Down-Forward + H, Air Hyper…

Totally agree. Also, Ultimates X-Factor is faster, waaay faster. It's even hard to control combos during X-Factor. I keep dropping them because of how fast you become, and Wesker...WOW !!!  

Wesker is ridiculous and even more cracked up with X-Factor. That video I posted showing how fast and powerful he is without glasses and how he becomes even faster and more powerful with X-Factor and no glasses has been getting dislikes from viewers...

OK. Here are my first impressions on UMvC3:


1. The new characters are AWESOME and a breath of fresh air. Love Vergil, Iron Fist, Nemesis and kinda like Dr. Strange, although I would love to learn Rocket Racoon. He is sooo hard to use.

2. The new HUD really SUCKS and is very confusing.

3. X-Factor is extremely fast. I mean waaay faster, but I’m sure I'll get used to it.

4. Online has less lag in both systems. It is significant because I was dropping easy Vanilla combos left and right and I’m still getting used to it.

5. I like that when selecting characters you can see the color of each outfits before completing your selection.

6. Nemesis is a beast.

7. Wesker is faster, but harder to control the faster he gets. It is very hard to control him and combo with him on X-Factor during a match.

8. I’m sorry for Hulk haters, but he is faster and can chain better. It is also easier for him to OTG himself in corners.

9. They just plain hurt Tron. Her jumping H pushes the opponent far and causes the start of the combo to drop. The timing is hard. Also, after launching an opponent in the air you can’t do J. M, J. M, Special or H, Special, since the last hit whiffs.

10. I hate that they killed Sentinel’s Bread and Butter Sentinel Force combo...

11. I’ve been hearing complaints from all of my friends that are Dante users. I tried him and he seems easier to use, at least to me, but I understand what happens when things are changed. His Normals also push the opponent away significantly, which I think is unfair.

12. I LOVE VERGIL…

That’s all I can say for now, since I’ve only focused on a few characters, and although I hate some of the changes, I like the overall package. It was worth every penny…
