Early Beta Release: MvC-EoH Roll by DarkCipherLucius

I didn't believe I'd finish Roll this early, but she's a beta so this release is for proper feedback only, let me know what you guys think of her and tell me if you find any bugs/glitches that I need to fix and such. make sure you read the readme file that comes with this character to know what's done.

Man, if only she was that useful in Marvel vs. Capcom.

EDIT: I understand this is a Beta, but I suggest Roll being able to get hit out of Beat Plane. Other than that she's tons of fun.

Roll is able to get hit during the Beat Plane move, but only by projectiles as I mentioned in the readme that the plane is sturdy
enough to withstand normal attacks but not projectiles.

(1) Ok. I noticed at the end of each round, she explodes/disappears or so... She should only do that after the final round...

(2) She need a throw...

(3) An air dash could be useful. Some times when if you happen to jump, and miss your target, you end up in hot water on your way back down. Lot's of times, a single dash could save you...!

I guess Roll must be an easy character to make for you. Just tested her out for 5 minutes and she plays great. Love the Rock Ball move, it's very unique in a way. I'll test her other abilities tomorrow after I'm back from school because I have to go to sleep at this time. For now, thanks for the release. :thumbsup:

P.S: I bet laspacho would like this character too.

She does have a throw, Hold Forward and y+z

I've been thinking about this before I released her, I remembered how there are users who use characters without
projectiles, so I'll change the HitBy code to something different. Next release she wont get hit by Normal Attacks
but can get hit by any special attack or super attack.

Oh no Roll wasn't easy to make, trust me. So many different colors that needed to be put in for her Rush Drill, Beat Plane, projectiles, ect. I had to do some recoloring due to color distortion, as well as the coding, Beat Plane took me a while to get right, Rush Drill was kinda easy, Hyper Roll was a simple task. Still gotta add a few more things though...

That's all I've found thusfar, actually.

That's because your saving it as a text document it gives you two options.

Save as text document or "All files" pick all files  i use firefox and it's working fine for me.

To fix the downloading problem, you need to fix the mime-type for rar files in Apache.

The mime-type for rar should be application/x-rar-compressed and not text/plain.

Also, in Firefox, it's Right Click, then Save Link As...

People may get confused by that as well.

I would agree though that having to do so... very old school.

Oh, and I thought your Sakura's transformation coding was hard to do. Anyway, a small bug I found is that the duck weak punch hitspark is misaligned. A suggestion that I can think of is that the opponent should be able to kick the rock ball back once when Roll kicked it. That way, the opponent would be able to counter and bounce it back to Roll. She won't be hit by it, but can still hit it back to the opponent (Like playing soccer lol). That's all for now, nothing serious at the moment.

I think this is intentional because his Sakura, Gambit, and his other characters have it too. Although, it just looks weird how Roll did it.

Yeah and (I'm not sure what hyper that is) but DCL seems to like putting in moves that can hit grounded enemies- I think that was intentional as well xP
Sakura has the ground kick one for example- and it is very useful.
