This is Drunken Master from Martial Masters.  He's been customized so his gamplay is a mix of Martial Masters, Street Fighter and Real Bout.  Enjoy!!

I just downloaded him and tested him out. Great work man!  :thumbsup: I have a very vintage conroller, so special moves are kind of hard to pull off, but I got the job done. After Boxing, Drunken Fist is my next favorite martial arts. 5 outa 5 bro  :)

You mean his version of Scorpion? And M-Monk? If so, I can see what you mean. But me personally, wish that they were 6 button characters... I still enjoy playing with Drunken Master this way though...

Help is always good bro.  I also like 4 and 6 buttons.  Ideally there would be both versions.  I dig what buckus did with Tiger and Ghost Kick btw.

Yea me too man. Seriosly i think your progression is good man. Keep at it. Im curious as to how they will turn out. All monk needs is new sound effects a few things fixed and more specials and hypers and he's good to go. Thing is, i never played the game so i dunno how things should be, so i say do it however u like it.

Try puttin some shake under the hitdefs on the hard hits. it makes it feel like u r hittin the character hard

well i have already tweaked things in his drunken master and its good but i still have to see where he is going with this and see how he my want it, cus u kno how i want it.

maybe just cvs or similar to buckus style?... I dunno...  :-??  :)

If you could convert Drunken Master to buckus or cvs style, that would be fantastic.  You have my blessing!
Scorpion should be ready in about a week, Martial Masters style, but then he could be converted too.  I've tried contacting buckus to see if he'd be interested, but haven't heard back.

As for Monk, still need to rip sprites and do an overhaul.  Madre's version was incomplete, and my tweaks were just a couple hours of improving the AI some, adding some animations and so on.  So after Scorpion I'll get to work on that.

Also, FYI, Kenshin Himura is the man for ripping Martial Masters sprites because he's got the artmoney tables and can get sprites you can't get any other way (which is one reason Madre's Monk is incomplete).  So the goal all along was to bring the Martial Masters chars into MUGEN, so they could then be turned into cvs or any other style.  The sprites and animations are CPSIII quality - it's just a lot of  people have never heard of the game so we're trying to make everyone aware of it.

I know this is off topic but... The bruce Lee character could REALLY use his yellow jumpsuit...! I see really great things for that character, and Mugen sure could use a good Bruce...! But he's basically Fei Long with nunchukus...

Funny you should mention the yellow track suit.  I went ahead and made a sprite a few weeks ago just to see how long it would take:



The problem is that it re-drawing by hand like that is so time consuming, and there's so many sprites.  As for it being Fei-Long, well he is based on Bruce -- the only thing is his hair should be black.  If someone knew how to create a new palette that separates his skin tone from his hair color, then changing his hair to black would be a simple fix.  But I don't know how to do that.

Well, he is starting to look more Bruce like...! lol But like you said, his hair does need to be black. Maybe Spidermew can help you with that...! He's really cool! Anyway, the Bruce vs Japanese school video was classic!! :thumbsup:

Never played Martial Masters but, seeing how cool the animations are i'm exited to get more characters from the game - Great job so far on the Drunken Master @-)
