Well since my old topic got deleted, I'll post up another one.  Hope this one stays up. 
Here's  what's new:

- Fixed his dash (like Akuma's in MvC)
- Added an intro (temporary)
- New "slide" move
- New Fireball Hyper(Hadouken that stays put and doesn't go forward.  I call it "No-Go Hadouken" :P)
- New Hyper "combo" move.

For sprites, Ken's body with Gen's head.
For fighting style, a mix of Ryu and Ken with new moves.

I did lose all of my stuff, but I couldn't stay away from Mugen no matter how hard i tried. 
I had to download the version that I released a while ago and continue from there.  I lost a lot of sprite work.   :(  I don't like spriting.

He looks really good. It's not easy staying away from mugen ;*)). Any plans for a raging demon type move? Maybe something a bit different like an air raging demon ;D.

I noticed some mega man sprites in there, more particulary from Bass.
LOL I almost used those shots in my wip but i went with the smaller ones.
Man i used to have the mag. that ran the Sheng Long april fools day prank.
I remeber hearing about it from all my friends too, even one kid who lied and said he beet him...
LOL only to find out it wasnt real.

I just hope your project is real, as it looks really good so far!

I had something like that in mind.  Kind of like N64's Guile, where he uppercuts you, jumps after you, and then does a bunch of hits on you.

Also the fireballs aren't final.  I'm not too sure yet.  Some people hate them, some like them.

More people might like them better if they had a bit of transparency to them.
The only thing about them i would change otherwize would be the Air fireball, i would use sprites that had that angle to them so they look like there going in that direction instead of being draged down

Yeah, I've been meaning to change his air fireball.  It's just temporary.  I can't adjust the angle so it won't look blurry in PSP. 
Also, I don't know how to make the fireballs transparent.  If you could help, I'd appreciate it.

I think You Should Make The Animations of his Attacks A little Slower. And If He is Going To Be MvC then You have to alter the Crouching Low Kick's Flag as MAFD so S.L can Hit them On the ground and follow up with an ariel launcher.

I actualy asked about that same thing recently, heres what i got (i underlined the areas regarding transparency)

Couple of questions for you brillent minds here.
Say i wanted to have an effect image appear over another sprite durring some attacks, like if i had a lunging move and i had it so only when done with the hardkick it had some cool effects appear over it...

Or when i do a hyper have some neeto sparks or something move arround my character for a moment.


Second question, is there a way to put in a code in a hyper or speical move that gives the projectile a translucent apperence without trying to sprite it with allot of gaps in the pixils.


#1: That can be done with helpers or explods. Explods are better for effects & flash, while helpers are good for duplicates of a character, projectiles with advanced velocities, and other stuff. There should be a tutorial about how to code both....

#2: In FF, open up AIR(animations), go to the group # where the sprite of the projectile is, and click on Alpha Editor (under Flip & to the right of the box with the single A). There, you can make a projectile (and any other sprites) transparent.

Sweet!  Thanks SpiderMew.  I got it to work.  It does look better. 

Nekkou Nightmare - Yeah, I noticed that his animations are pretty fast.  In the beta release I'll make the animations slower.

Maybe you should make a flame on his uppercut like ken's but blue. We are just thinkin' of ways to make him stronger and different from ken, ryu, dan, akuma, ect. Also make it multiple hits like sagat yet damaging.

I was wondering the same thing. Ive seen ppl credit Gouken sprites for Shenglong or vice versa :-??

well one diffrence is that gouken is actually a person in the story and sheng long isnt.gouken is the real master of ryu and ken but sheng long is the "rumored" master of ryu and ken.
