Rapper Kanye West issued the following statement Monday night:

"Kanye West, his family and friends would like to thank everyone for the outpouring of support and kind words that have come in from across the country since the death of his mother, Dr. Donda West.

After working in higher education for 31 years, Dr. Donda West and Kanye West co-founded the Kanye West Foundation with the mission of helping to combat the severe dropout problem in high schools across the country.

The first and signature initiative of the Kanye West Foundation is Loop Dreams. Designed to capitalize on students existing interest in hip-hop, Loop Dreams challenges students to learn more about what's behind hip-hop culture in order to help them develop skills, express themselves creatively and be empowered.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Dr. West's name to the http://www.kanyewestfoundation.org

In response to Kanye I think that it is sad for him to lose his mother, especially before the holiday season my heart goes out vto him and his family.

As far as Game being a stripper that started because of the Change of Heart TV show he was on. I have the episode and on there he said he took his date to his mom's strip club (Male Strip Club) that his mom owned or was a manager. That's how that got started, I don't really care but the video was funny. Did you guys get to check Serius Jones rap battle?

Yea, I feel you on that...most are staged, and then you have of artists who just spit written. It's already common, but what's messed up is that it's becoming more and more acceptable. I'm not a freestylist, so I shy away from it more often than not, but when I do, I NEVER spit written. It defeats the whole purpose of being 'free' wit it.

I feel you dawg...sometimes I REALLY get angry when I hear the crap on the radio, it's getting so bad that even the most commercial listeners are getting fed up with the oversaturation. It's really gotten TOO FAR out of hand.
