Yeah me too, and it's wierd because I was never big into rock.

Unfortunately, that's the way it is right now. I can't stand it. A couple weeks ago I had to seriously ask myself why I was spitting. Almost gave up, but really, I spit because I LOVE the art of it. The possibilities are almost endless, and I want to connect with people like me who want change but don't know how to go about bringing it. I hate the state of Hip Hop right now.

well ya duh. i jus listen to underground.    and ya its true, quit being in denial.  hip hop is mostly based on how popular u are and how u look.  if your good looking/hot  then your gonna be big, if your popular, if your rich, and if you know some people who can hook u up with a deal.  u can suck a** and make millions.  theres a difference between hip hop and rap. ive been listeing to it my whole life.  i can officially say that hip hop is either dead or dying. just cause the artists makes millions doesnt mean its successful.  having respect and being rememebered forever for the stuff youve said is successful, not on how many times you hit up the club in a limo.    and when it comes to rap.  its very difficult to actually find a rapper who is actually into what he is doing, not cause he wants to make big hits but where it almost seems like if he has too.   its just a matter of time......    rap and hip hop are already in those NOW cds between fall out boy and kelly clarkson.  so dont tell me that hip hop aint dying.

Just stop watching celebrity news & listening to the radio. I feel the same as you but I cant stand all the hype. I just dont watch music channels anymore. Hell celebrities/rich ppl with problems is absolutely annoyig to me, STFU u dont gotta talk about them day in & out. Thats how I see it.

BUT when it comes to hip-hop/rap. Snoop for example, I just go buy the music or listen to it on the net 1st. Im actually a long time fan of his and like more of the artist associated with him than Snoop himself now. But i still have that same old respect for him as an artist cuz I know he's versatile & original at the same time.

trust me i dont..... im actually against watching television, and radio, going to the theaters etc.  so trust me i know .   i just listen to underground rap here from texas.... but whatever man, it dont bother me ya know.  i just hate going to places and people's ringtone going off and being soulja boi.  and i here them talking saying "ya this fool is real gangsta rap"  its just i have nothing to say no more to those people.  or when people come up to me talking about some whack a** rapper thats on mtv.

R u serious? The only thing I hear about that is in freestyles. Especially wit DSR but mostly Ive heard it in mixtapes for them & others. Anybody else Ive heard say it just mentioned there cars once or twice in a song unless its part of the hook.

i personally dont like the oak cliff scene...a lotta ignorance comes from that area, one of my opinions is that rap should be very respectful to be true.
i liked houston back then....now its kinda beginning to be real mainstream, i here people saying "ya im from houston" but they would be lying .
hey man they aint new but have you heard of mr pookie and mr lucci from dallas. there one of my favorites.

overall i hope the whole texas scene needs to make a comeback for people like us, i havent heard no one new thats good or acceptable from underground over here....
