Angelm's Exclusive Release(Goutetsu SFA Beta)

Today marks the 2 year anniversary from which I started making Mugen Characters. Goutetsu was the first character that I created but I only released him at sprites. Now he is a mugen character.


He is also a 4 button character. Please note that his Kick Combo has been temporary put there until his next update.

Hadouken- D, DF, F, any Punch
Shoryuken- D, DF, F, any Kick
Kick Combo- D, DB, B, any  kick

Supers:
Super Haduken Hadouken- D, DF, F, any 2 Kicks

I was interested until I seen it was 4 button. With MK characters I could understand, but it would feel very incomplete and lacking with only 4 as a Street Fighter edit.
I know, I read your bit on the AI. If you don;t know how to code the AI properly, why not ask around the forums and see if someone an help you with that. Such a petit reason to let the character itself be handicapped.

I realize this. So does that mean you intend for him to be 6 button at some time?
(Don't get me wrong, I am rather interested in the character, but a 4 button SF character doesn't click with me)

Okay I just tried him out for the hell of it. I know it's a beta, so you might know about all this, but I'm going to shoot what I think you should work on. (Maybe you should move a character from the BETA stages, rather the constantly just going to work on something else. I can understand alternating between characters, but you should go back to others too)

-Hadokens are infinites
-Hadoken can pass through enemy at certain distances.
-Shoryuken can be chained in the air to take off like 3/4s of their health
(I actually found this to be quite funny though =3)
-Outer edges of sprites are miscolored (Like the top part of his Gi)

These are the biggest things I found really...Love that awesome combination hyper, it's pretty cool.

The Shoryuken is meant to be chain the in the air but if it takes off like 3/4 of the health, I'll be sure to fix that ok?
The Hadouken, i'm going to completely recode it. The kick combo is being changed to a sean like hurricane kick.
Don't worry about the outer edges of the sprites. That's the palette I made. I have to make more palettes fixing that.

You wouldn't expect Goutetsu to do a move like that.  :)

Thanks, man.  :) The outer edge of the sprites is only needs a palette fix. Other than that, I hope you guys enjoyed this exclusive release(a surprise release in fact) from me, in honor of my 2 year anniversary of making mugen characters.  :)

Tested it 5 minutes and here is some small Feedback:

- First of all....Why did you remove shading from his pants? It wont look better like that, Just worse.

As i said before, i have to fix up the palettes. Remove the shading from the pants, that was the palette
lol Head on the all the sprites. After all it was the first character that i ever made you know.  :D
3 Shoryuuken in a row? You have to admit that was funny. You know what it is. It's the fact that the Shoryuuken can also be done in the air as well, so I'll be sure to fix that.

The crouch hard kick is fine, I'll take a look at it.
Download Hard Punch? You mean the Uppercut? I'll get right on it  ::salute::
Once again sorry about the Kick combo, I will be changed to a hurricane kick.
Yea, I'll have to fix the CLSN Boxes as soon as i can.

I watched a little more then half that video...
But whats the deal, they just made a video showing the character? Yes we can see how broken he is, but your going to get this kind of stuff unless you make it so they have nothing to complain about. It's that simple.

You admitted defeat in the other thread by locking it. You can squeeze in your last comment, that lock the thread (Rather immature IMO, but your call) or you can work on fixing the massive amounts of damage/Infinites.

-But don't listen to Orochi, all he does is link to MFG because he hasn't realized that this isn't MFG, we actually have fairly polite people and moderators that do their job.

I only have one question. Did I ask for anybody's feedback from MFG? No. So there is not reason to post it here. The fact of the matter is that I released Goutetsu, a character that I spent 2 years working on, finally I get so see him in action, that is something to be proud of. Even though I'm going to make an update of this character, I'm glad that he is now a mugen character on people's roster. All those people who were behind me when I posted his Wip, now get to play as him now. And no matter what horrible feedback I'm getting from MFG, I'm still going to do what I do best, making mugen characters. MFG ain't going to stop me from doing that.

I'm glad you've done that. So if you deleted it then, and have nothing to actually contribute, then you don't have to keep posting MFG links, where he didn't even ask to have it posted.
