Dark Man

Now it's official. Darkman will be joining the mayhem!

The progress so far:

All sprites are DONE! However I'll still make some minor adjustments to some sprites.
I also want to add a new special move, since by now I've just sprited two (a common projectile and a paralization projectile).

Feel free to give any suggestions.

Nice!!!!! Darkman 2nd form :).I hope to see those transformation hypers:
Tank mode: Dark Man transform to  Dark Man  form 1 with treads instead of legs, that shoots at and tries to run over Mega Man. His speed increases as he receives damage. Like Rush drill hyper maybe but with life/time bar

Dark Man form 4:He transforms into form  4.He uses an electromagnetic barrier around him like Dark Man 2, but it's launched to the sides of the screen when he jumps, and returns to him after landing. Only for a short time

Dark man form 3: He transforms into form 3 and can paralyze enemies with a ring shaped beam, and his right arm is a rapid fire weapon

Totally have to have special intros vs. Megaman and Protoman where he's the fake Protoman and Protoman unmasks him.

I've already sprited 'em all. The #1 Darkman (tank) will do like the Rush Drill, #3 Darkman will shoot a barrage of shots and #4 Darkman will create a force field (like Chun-Li).

I've sprited a intro where he starts as Protoman (in a darker pallete) then morphs into his true self. I was thinking on a special intro Vs. Megaman just like in Megaman 5. I've asked Chaotic for permission to use his Protoman sprite.

I'll post some sprites later.

If you want to make Darkman interesting, get him to moph into not just his advanced forms, but also the Robot Masters that aren't in the game.

Darkman is from Mega Man 5, he frames Protoman from kidnaping Dr. Light, and makes you wonder the whole time if protoman's swaped sides.

Spriting is almost done (check first post), but I will revise all of the sprites for minor changes, especially the morphs, since I've got the official artworks for all Darkmans, who are very different between themselves. I also wanted to add a new special attack, but I'm short on ideas.

Him tossing the enemy around?
Reason why I suggest it is because in the MvC background he's lugging around sandbags so I thought it'd be a good idea to kinda rely a bit on the physical side.

Maybe... or maybe not. I don't like the EXE series, so don't have much hopes on that.

I agree, EXE series shouldn't be included in this project.

Originally back in "Project-XR", the battle network series was appearing in cameos as special hyper for the characters.
