I hate the financial aid office here. I had to come in way early to tell them how i got money to live in 2008 when i didnt work, (my family was helping me out) so i had to make up some bs number to tell them, and the guy was a total jerk to me the whole time, and they wont even let me request student loans for this susmester because they havnt awarded me aid cuz of this.
Worst part is that, they wont tell you when you have in issue. You have to log into a website you might not even think you need to go to anythign for cuz its where you add and drop classes. If you dont notice that "to do list" then your screwd on money.

Friend of mine goes through this as well. He's says they have an attitude like "your not good enough to be here" or "Well, you should have more money."  These people are supposed to help you out not give you an attitude.

Exactly! Then he treated me like i was stupid with the way he was talking down to me the whole time, asking if i didnt understand that geting help from family is some sort of thing to be counted as income.

• The Economy I can't even get into the military atm because of it.
• how hard it is to find a job without prior experience in the field.
• Grandparents promising you that college fund when you get of age then backing down when you say you are read.

Your right the world is messed up but i wont let him know about stuff like racism until i think the time is right, his skin tone is pretty light so he might not encounter as many racist situations as i have and i dont want him to think the world is all perfect because as you said it will come crashing down on him when he gets older.
Im not that worried for him tho because he has tons of relatives that will look out for him in the town we live.
