Uh, why these characters? If I recall, Mega Man and G.I.N.O. were the two characters people really wanted in Super Smash Bros. Brawl and to be honest, I seriously doubt any of the characters in your list would actually make it into the fourth Super Smash Bros. game. Some of the characters that are on your list are owned by different companies and Nintendo would need to get permission from them to actually include them in the game. And the fact Pac-Man, Ryu, Shadow, Knuckles, and Ken are owned by different companies, I highly doubt Nintendo will go through all that trouble just to include five characters.

I was one of em buddy GENO + Megaman would have been WIN. Snake was better IMO. People are not going to be sad about Shadow one bit, personally I wouldn`t have had him in even as a trophy, even less a playable character. About permission above stated, Namco wouldn`t do that, they don`t need to, I think Sonic appeared cause of the Unleashed game and Snake over the MGS4 hype, SSBB even had a song from mgs4 if I recall correctly

And therein comes the problem with adding Third Party characters... people always want more, I`m happy with Snake and Sonic, I would have liked Megaman or I`d even love for nintendo to kick Jigglypuff and add GENO instead

This kinda sums up my thoughts, except bomberman. I think he'd make an awesome addition to SSB. Ryu over Megaman though? Hell no.

Unfortunately he is not. This game isn`t about the fighting, hell Id even go as far as to call it a party game, Megs would be perfect for this game, I would replace Falco or Wolf for him easy. They are too similar too Fox for their own good IMO

Dude, Ryu is better off for fighting games. SSB is more of a party game than a fighting game in my opinion because of the variety of characters. Mega Man would fit perfectly in the SSB series.

That is stupid, pardon me, but, this isn`t MUGEN or Street Fighter, Ryu would be soooo cliche in this game, imagine playing online with people only using him, the spinning kick is cheaplike in itself in SF4 online, it would be worse it brawl since attacks have priority, no clash.
