Hello, we all have the guy gardner green lantern by eradicator in our roster, but the suit isn t accurate enough, so here is what i have been working on

if someone wanna add something new to the character please post
for now i will be working on new intros, endings and hypers, if you find some bugs post it here.
He is for now the same one as eradicator did but with new sprites.   :-*
HE will recoded later cause now he is missing soooooooooooooo many frames  8-}

The detales on his bright foot are shaking arround like he's got some lump of flab in an odd spot, it looks weird with the detales moving so extreme like that compared to the rest of his movements.

The animations are just bad . The right & left foot have issues . His crotch area & the underwear lines have all kinds of issues . The outfit lines just kind of jump around & is all choppy . Same goes for the GL symbol .

I really haven't played with Erradicator's Guy gardner in a long time . So I do not remember is his animations were that choppy . But if they were & you are going to " edit " someone else work & release it like you did something . At least do something to it & fix things that are broken . Or if they weren't don't break them more than they are . 

He is for now the same one as eradicator did but with new sprites.   :-*

BTW Adding more frames to an animation takes no coding skill what so ever . So the choppiness of the stance shouldn't be there if you have more frames .  Just open the sff & add the other sprites in , then open the air file & add them into the animation you want them to be in .

I am curious in what way you mean? Its not that differant.

While that Gif is sloppy looking the character looks decent in game play. Really the only glitch is a frame is off, but the boots look to be edited since the gif. Did you actually download it? Erradicators edit looks barely anything like Gardner, this one at least resembles Gardner.

It's still needs work for sure but to say the old one looked better is a big stretch.

Yeah, that one tick of frame in the stance needs to be shifted, but otherwise it's a great astechic (however you spell that) upgrade to Guy.

Your working on John Stewart also? I thought the guy with the sig saying: "No more wips" was doing him or are both of you working together on him? Oh well, it will be awesome to finally have one of my personal favorite comic book heroes in mugen.

Are you using a smart palette or something on John Stewart? It would explain why his hands are red, his hair is blue, and why his mustache is orange in the picture.

lol I just noticed that all the colors are off . Yeah , smart palette , it's the new " in " thing to do . Disregard my last comments . The smart palette explains the wrong color hair ..lol

they all should except this one, it s the one used in "recharge" when they destroy the arachnoide's lair , and he uses a variant when he faces the martian manhunter in fire form in jla. It s just pure energy.

I really don't know much about Guy Gardner but wikipedia does! Here is a list of the abilities he used while he was still active in the dc comics.

Powers and abilities

Power rings

Power ring (DC Comics)


Guy Gardner was trained to use a Green Lantern power ring, which is only limited by the user's will power. He later acquired Sinestro's Qwardian power ring, which was later revealed to be based on the bearer's control of fear. This early version of a yellow power ring was powered by absorbing plasma radiation that had been expelled from a Green Lantern ring. He used both for basic Lantern abilities including constructs, flight, and energy projection. In Green Lantern: Rebirth #6 it is mentioned that Guy Gardner's ring is constantly sparking with energy, as if unable to contain the power of his will.



Vuldarian powers

Guy's Vuldarian powers included limited shapeshifting abilities in which he could create weapons out of his body. At first, these transformations caused him pain and he was unable to shrink from his 7-foot height. During the return of Parallax, he suffered a metahuman power discharge and his Vuldarian abilities went into recession. Coincidentally, when he awoke he was near Hal Jordan's power ring which has the ability to duplicate itself. Gardner once more had a power ring, and following the return of the Guardians of the Universe, he was once again a Green Lantern.


Green Lantern (Tangent Comics)
Guy became the caretaker of a mystical artifact that survived the effects of the Infinite Crisis after it was discovered on New Earth by Kyle Rayner. It has the power to temporarily awaken the dead and has also served as a dimensional gateway.

Good effort upgrading Guy, but your sprite's head and part of the jacket looks like a toned down Gate's Guy Gardner sprite.



Also upgrade the animations too, because your guy looks like having spasms and convultions.

They look nothing alike. Differant shading, differant bases. He might have used a similar idea.

open your eyes and you will see gate's edits is way better than mine on all levels. HIS head has a different form, his hair has more shading and color. For the jacket, his is way better on all levels too.

Au contraire, mon frère, when you remove the surrounding stuff, you see easily that it's the exact same hair and eyes and ear, exactly. The only difference is that the erradicator palette didn't have the extra shade for the hair highlight so the color got lost in the transition and JT changed the mouth to something he prefered better.

I'm not complaining, I'm just detectiving. Please continue wip-ing.
