i plan on making him a back story... for his intro... it will be fan-fic based....

i might work on a Grand Master Ken or Master Yoga Dhalsim or something like that next.

looks really interesting

Mate, the hitsparks of the hadoukens are missaligned, you have to put them on the enemy

I like the idea that when he stomps (when he starts his hyper) the enemy gets hit.....but that can be really abused and became cheap, maybe you could make that the stomps hits the enemy under certain conditions (like when ryu life is low, or when you have the energy bar full)

Wow, Ryu looks ROUGH! Tear up the costume some more! I am luving the idea, however you know if Ryu's is a GrandMaster now, his specials would of had to evolve so you gotta plan on giving him updates to existing moves. Got any special ones in mind? I love that fireball on his back!

Awesome.

I wanted to make something like this except Ryu wasn't old, but he had a beard and was really scarred up and had a torn gi. It was for my Midway vs Capcom project.

I just finished Spriting and coding his uppercut special. (Thanks to Marancv for letting me use some sprites from his Ryu)

I don't like how i coded it... because this is the first time i have coded this ind of move... and i know for a fact the coding is not like others ryu or ken characters.

maybe someone can help me with better code for his upper cut.

looks great but his arms look too static when he moves,maybe they could shake or start to smoke or fire up the more he levels up as if he has a load of power?

i like the idea Sic but here are some of my suggestions
- i like the concept but im not fond of the stance at all ryu is a very reserved char and the stance seems a bit wild
-i think adding in some of oros moves or variations of such are in order because said he was going to train ryu in 3rd strike so id like to see some oro flavor added in
-i dont like the two handed uppercut but i do love the high and low tiger shot style hadokens
