CD Face Art

Well, since I got the CD Case art down, I tried something new.



This is the cd art. This is the illustration of the what the front cover of a cd looks like.
Ths is my first time making something like this so, its not perfect.

Nice start. First off who is the guy punching on the front cover?

Second over all its a nice ideal, great concept.

But i think u need better quality images for the characters on the cover not to mention shanding, lighting, blending, etc.

Second look at sum box art and cd face art to better organise ur art.  playstation, XB, Wii, all have controiller intructions, warnings, ratings, etc on em as well. I see u aplied sum of those tho.

remember ur marvel logo on the cd face and box.

ur font on the cover last rise . . . . . . is hard to read and looks strecthed. NEVER RESIZE FONT BY SCALING. if u change font size use the point system. Thats a big no no in typography.

Also look at actual CD's they are cutout so I would cut not only The CD from the background BG but the very middle of the CD where it sits inside of a case to be more authentic. Over all looks good Rage pointed out all the major stuff and pretty much nailed everything spot on except for what I mentioned. Just keep at it and it will be even greater then what you have shown now.

But 2 thumbs up man looks really good!

1) Kaname. Its a mugen character that I thought would look good in the capcom side.

2) All that stuff came from Draco's MvC3 Screenpack. That's why its so hard to read them.

3) I'm working on the cd face with the marvel logo.

You can work on the CD face if you're want. I don't know how to cut out the outside & the middle without messing it up.

Sure thing just send me a PSD as it would be harder without a working PSD. But I can always try but I guarantee its not gonna be as good as with a PSD. But if you can provide that ill def fix it up a bit.

Yea, I dont really have the psd no more since I've found a way to fixed it up without messing it up. I'll post the product soon. Srry bout that, should've told ya sooner.

Do u have illustrator? If so take the flame type u used on the back cover and used the 3-D transformation option and make ur own 3-D text so that way u can size it the way u want.

If u want i can find sum fire Text and create the 3-D font 4 u so u can used it but i think u'd want to do this ur self tho

I don't wanna be rude but you should try to not use Marvel, Capcom or some other company logo since isn't a original product from those company making this ilegal, try something like the Everything VS Everything.

This but but this fall under fan art and most of the time is look at as flatery. He really has no problem unless he trys to market it or sum 1 else does so. A disclaimer may help but not needed.  Surf the web and u see millions of fan created images such as this.

The cd looks cool, but the front cover of the box art looks a bit off.

It would be better if you had some artwork that was more recent.

Maybe you could find some images of say Sentery and another of Ryu or Captain Comando that when edited look like they are staring eachother down or striking eachother, there needs to be something to show that the 2 sides are going to clash on the cover. IMO

@Tenspeed - I used the icons you had on yours so I can atleast make it look like a real game. I couldn't find the PS2 kind.

well yeah, I didn't really care or anything. I'm jsut saying I might have some nicer quality ones floating around somewhere if you want them.
