Mugen to PSP Ideas (show here)
« on: March 25, 2009, 06:22:47 PM »
Hi everybody this is the First thread i've made for any forum i've been a part of.
Anyway, here you can talk about any updates to people you've heard of making progress in the most greatest dream of all Mugen players. Plus, you can show off some psp related mugen characters, stages, screenpacks anything you've found on the web.

Don't want to talk about Mugen to PSP? Then here you can chat about almost anything.

However, you must follow forum rules and post rules otherwise you'll get banned.

So thats it. Have fun with your quests.

Crack is wack, School is cool, MUGEN is right, get ready to fight.

Yeah... I think MUGEN should wait to be made for PSP till the PSP 4000 ... it's supposed to have much better everything... :)

Right, however I've heard of some people who have been trying to put just a custom made full game into a .rar file (archive) and then convert that into a EBOOT.pbp file (used to play demos or updates). But thats what I've heard. Could've been a rumor.

Its gonna be forever till actual mugen is on the PSP. Shugendo would have my bets getting on the PSP way before mugen. The pre-alpha type stuff that I have seen basically wont even allow you to see a stage or lifebars on the psp version of mugen. I give it another 10 years at the least.

^ What is the aspect ratio for PSP. I don't think it is 4:3 which is a dead give away if it isn't.

Sorry, but you can't just take mugen, put it in a rar, and sprinkle some fairy dust on it to make it work on the PSP. If it was that easy, we would have had it after all these years.

The Screen measures 4.3" diagonally.
16:9 Widescreen
TFT LCD
480 x 272 pixels

Still, it is possible and we wouldn't have it after all these years. It depends on the current tech. and available supercomputers that would process that kind of Info. (in possibly 15 years approx. and a Sony Executive who got fired or A International Hacker would release it) And does this ShugenDO actually work or do you have to have a Pandora Battery or a super MMS to play it?

Mugen on the PSP sadly isn't possible. Well it IS possible, but it doesn't have the processing power to handle a lot of the animations, specials, etc...even mugen has a 256 ram minimum and a 400 mhz processor (But with a lot of creations and such, that goes up a fair bit...), but the psp slim, and newer models only have 64 for ram and 333mhz processor.. It just doesn't add up. It might be able to run, but it will always be laggy.
I think it may be possible to construct a version of mugen that has less system requirements, and then maybe it could hold like 20 characters or so. And characters probably couldn't even be that big, so Hi res is probably out.
Emulation is utterly impossible though.
