What Software to use to make the best Avatar

i'm having a problem with making one of the best avatars because i dont know what software to use and how to use the software. Any help?

Try using Photoshop CS2 or CS3, I use CS2 but it's up to you.

Also, you can even DL the Paint Shop Pro free trails, they are awesome, but they don't last as long as we could wish.

Or you can always animate your sprites with Fighter Factory. (Remember to update it)

I use Paint Shop Pro 8.0 for any editing that I do.

i use paintbrush for mine.

Paintbrush is a tool, not the actual software.

I think he's talking about Microsoft Paint.

how do you animate it with fighter factory then put it on here

You make all the sprites for the animation. Add them to the sff and create the anim in the air file. There's an option to convert the anim to gif. It's not difficult, unless you haven't used FF before?
