Im always askin myself i actually had this thought for more then a year and thought about making a topic about it but didnt until now. Wat will infinity be like in 10 years will we still exsist? Wat about 20 years from now will aceys baby be the new admin? It only makes me think more to not know the answer.

Forums and the internet are still pretty young themselvesself so we don't really have a precidence yet. I imagine people will come and go, the fighting games we develop may evolve (just like how those guys using ham radios just need to move on) but I knnow I have no plan on retiring. I've been obsessed with Street Fighter II for over 15 years and it's still going strong, I imagine mugen may prove to be similar. If we can out live World of Warcraft I'll be happy.

Thats a good question. 10 years from now, where we will be playing PlayStation 6 and Xbox 1080, will we even need mugen? I hope so.

Well, I'm in no rush to do 3d rendering but it sure is easier to switch skins then to draw thousands of sprites, which is why the characters in Ulimate Alliance come with so many costume options.

i hope IMT never disappears. ive always been a big fan of 2d fighting games. SF...MVC.. KOF...etc.. IMT and mugen to just vanish one day, would mean that i would all around stop playing video games. this is the last chance for 2d, i hope the tradition remains as it is for the next 100 years!!

Man, I think that it depends on many factors...but it could last many time.

On the past, I think that Mugen would disappear in 3, 4 years...and here I am, with about 10 years of Mugen works! My 5 years old son already plays Mugen, and I think that I will teach him on 2 years how to make his own chars.

I think that with whatever changes people bring to MUGEN like O.I.'s team & Elecbyte... we'll still be here... Doesn't matter if MUGEN changes or not, I'm sure this forum will still be open.
