Biggest Song Fail
« on: January 26, 2009, 11:43:02 PM »
Its official, this is by far the worst thing I have ever heard. Lil Wayne was tolerable in Tha Carter III but now its time for him to fade away. He thinks hes a rock star now with his super tight clothes and his piercings, now he thinks he can actually do rock songs. For the people with weak constitutions may wanna stay away from this song, it is by far the worst thing I have ever heard and a disgrace to the rock genre. Lil Wayne should stick to what he knows best, which is mumbling on rap tracks.

So that just fails because Lil Wayne made it? Give me a break.  8=|

I'll admit it's not good, but it's not bad either.

Figures someone would come along defending Wayne, listen whether this is Wayne or any other rapper I would say the same thing. Rappers should stick to what they are good at and thats talking over beats about whores and money. Someone with no talent in singing such as Wayne should not try to step into a genre such as rock because he lacks talent for it. I listen to a lot of rock, and this is a disgrace, PERIOD!

I mean everything about the song is terrible, the guitar riffs are bad, the noises Waynes making, I guess you consider that singing, the lyrics and using the vocoder. I mean cmon, this is a joke

Exactly...the wayne song sounds like David Haslehoff (sp?) crossed with the muppets ...and a few bad words thrown in to make it cool  8=| the song blows chunks

The song starts off slow, goes hard, then slows up again... I don't know how I feel about this... I have to hear a couple more songs...  /:O

Wayne's always been into rock, I kinda saw this coming a while back, his favorite band growing up was Nirvana.

The vocals need to be worked on, but I do like the song and the lyrics. Maybe if he stepped up his "rockstar vocals", lol. Hmm...  :-w

It just takes people to get used to things like this, espeacially the ones that aren't open minded.

EXCh33ky is clearly a rock fan, and based on this, "Rappers should stick to what they are good at and thats talking over beats about whores and money.", doesn't like rap. So I don't think he really gave this a chance.

Wayne to me well always be the same Wayne he was on the carter 1. And all his new songs will be on my ipod wether people like them or not.

Who knows, maybe by the time the album comes around, he'll perfect his rockstar flow.

Cheeky, I think you should just give the song a chance. Granted, I'm not much of a rap fan (Daigo can vouch for me on that) and I still gave Wayne a chance because like he said, Wayne was also a rock fan growing up. So of course with that in mind, it was obvious he was gonna do something like this.

Oh, and not all rappers rap about whores and money. Open your mind, etc etc.   8=|

Thats where you are wrong my friend, I listen to every type of genre, so im the most open minded music listener there is. You have to understand that they are chosen to do a certain genre for a reason. I wouldnt except a rock singer to go do rapping, it just doesnt work. And there are plenty of rap songs I like, sometimes just because the beats are catchy, I find rap nowadays is mostly garbage

Yupe, just like I'm not much of a rock fan, but I mean, it's my favorite rapper doin' it, so I'm open minded to his new stuff, I'm actually not too dissapointed, it's decent, you have to remember, he's stepping into a whole new world he's never been to, so it may take a while to get it right.

Well I just assumed by the way you came across about rappers. This isn't the first time a rap and rock crossover has happend. Like it was posted above, Limp Bizkit(although I don't listen to him) has done it, my favorite is Jay Z and Linkin Park. But yeah, just wait for a couple more songs, or the album even, and actually give it a chance, and if you don't like it, I respect that, we all don't have the same opinion when it comes to music.

I have given Wayne many chances and hes just disappointment after disappointment, and now this...this seals the deal. And I am a rap fan, very picky now because most of the stuff now is trash but none the less.

And please explain what else more is there to rap its either about the struggles in the hood, going from rags to riches, bragging about how much money they have, how many guns they have, and how many "ho's" they can get. Honestly what I am missing, oh ya a bunch of cursing thrown in the middle.

Honestly say what you want of me, but I hope he realizes, with the few braincells he has left, that this wont get him as much attention as rap. I first heard he was gonna put out a rock album awhile ago on the radio and right then and there I said it was gonna be a disaster and im not too far off. Rock has an element that Wayne and hes bling and izzle drinks wont fill.

Are we missing the fact that the guy has to have pitch manipulation to hit different notes?? Not a rock voice

And this is where you start dissin' music artists instead of having a normal conversation, well at least we made it to 1 whole page. You don't like it, no one is forcing you listen to it, and I respect you not liking it, but I can't stand when people diss other music or artists, especially after they herd just 1 song. Ehh... I'm going to bed.  (:|

And yeah, his voice isn't up to parr, but like I said, he's just starting this whole rock thing. Maybe he should calm down on autotune also.

its just something different that no one is used to. Like if (god forbid) Aerosmith or some other big rock band/person did a rap song. it would just be something different

Who is dissing anyone, ive heard alot of Lil Wayne music and I think this was a terrible decision. He doesnt have a voice...at all, and a voice isnt something you get by just learning, you have to be born with it. So right there the game is over for him in this move. Rap doesnt require you to have a good voice (look at Jeezy lol ) but if you actually like this non sense then be my guest.

Bad enough the rap game is starting to fall apart now they are trying to drag everything with it...sigh

Hell if according to Wayne, all you need to be a rocker is a tight tshirt, piercings, half a brain and no talent. Hell I can do a better job. Im just saying he should stick to what he knows

That's my favorite band, and I despise Wayne. This song is pretty damn horrible.
