Superb. Every time something new is posted in this thread, I find myself wowed at the excellence inherent in each showing. Everything looks top notch, and it looks like you both will delive a stellar character that does justice to the boss character.

I especially love the Crashman striker. I'm curious. After Metalman is done, do you intend to do a full Crashman character? Felt I had to ask, since your avatar suggests it as a possibility. Personally, I think it would be an awesome thing to see. Crashman always was one of my favorite Megaman bosses.

It's great to see one of the awesome bosses of Megaman 2 get his due. Again, great work guys. You can tell this will be a blast to play when completed.

Cool glad you like Crashman, I think he came out looking real cool too.
I am actually considering three different Megaman characters for my next wip.  Crashman being in those three.  At the moment I am leaning a lot more towards Crashman then the other two.  But don't quote me on my next wip yet, gotta finish Metalman first.   8)
I think Crashman would make a awesome full character too.

The crashman striker is  :o! I would love to see his crash bombs have bigger explosions though.

Thanks DG!

Wow seriously. I was way interested when Metalman was started but now.. wow.. Don't even know what to say. The progress of you guys working together is phenomenal, the sprites are lookin friggin amazing, and the coding seems to be spot on. Considering its the coder behind Cutman/Iceman tho, coolness was to be expected, bu seriously Ex, methinks you've outdonhe yourself.  :) On top of that the ridiculously awesome amount of ways to use the blades definitely make Metalman stand quite tall above other projectile users, showin them how it could really be done.  :w00t: If my pc ever gets fully fixed up (which I'm very much hopin will happen this month) I think I'm gonna try my hand at dustin off my old Elecman sprites and tryin to go at it again.. Definitely inspired by you guys work. Awesome..

Thanks for the kind words Darqueness. He (laspacho) has been very receptive to any suggestions or edits I may have made in the original sprite  or whatever and that is what makes this a good collaboration. Ultimately, this is his vision, with me making it work in MUGEN.

 >:-(-| I would love to see you pick up work on Elecman. It would be a tremendous addition to any MUGEN (Megaman-specific) roster.

Yes, thanks for the kind words.  This is a great collaboration between Excursion and Myself, I am always happy to take any suggestions or whatever.  Without Excursions help, suggestions, and coding Metalman in Mugen would never be a reality and for that I can never say thanks to him enough.
I would love to see you pick up you work on Elecman too, he would make an awesome Mugen Character.
If anyone has a avi of the old Megaman Tv show, the episode was called Future Shock, let me know.  I can use some sounds from there.  I haven't had any luck finding it surfing around the web.
Thanks

Perhaps you can find it using Emule or Torrents...

I agree with the others, I liek Crashman comin in to assist, robot masters teamin up = win.  :w00t: Maybe you can have mroe than one type of attack for him as a striker? Perhaps the one you have which primarily attacks the lower right of the strike (presumably where the opponent is standing) and perhaps a run in where he fires forward and up for jumping opponents? (Perhaps even one being done with both weak attacks andthe other with both medium, maybe even a hyper team up with both strong attacks pressed ).. Either way, still cool stuff so far..  :)

I don't think he needs the Juggernaut non push back ability sorry, I think that would make him too unfair.
Metalman is a beast to play as it is already.  Don't worry.    >:(

I always wonder..why didn't Capcom made this before?

I always thought the same thing.  Before MVC2 came out I said I wanna see Metalman and Red Skull in the game.  I knew there was no way Metalman would have made it, I would have figured one random robot boss would have made it though because Megaman was in the game.  I figured Red Skull would have definitely made it because Captain America was is in the game. I was wrong on both accounts lol, anyways enough of me babbling.....

Here is Metalman's throw. Enjoy!

Interesting usage of the blades on his body. Come to think of it, is he gonna still have that uppercut? Cuz if so you could have him do the traditional uppercut and have that sides gear spin and cut as he rises.. Just a thought.. Great work so far man.

Yes, that's exactly what he does. It happens rather fast, but you get the point.

I was thinking about doing something with the blades on his shoulders but his arms are much longer then the blades on his shoulders and I couldn't think of a way to do it.   ;D

Maybe you could have them grow in a hyper or something. He could lay on the ground, then the gears would get real big and then he could charge the opponent thus doing massive damage with the gears. Then they would go back to normal size while he is laying down and he get up like normal. Shouldn't be hard to draw evolving gear sprites while he is laying down then rotate them. What do you think?

Thanks DG!

You could use the body blades to do a wall climb, stick yourself up there and then like have him jump off and hit the enemy, kinda like how Vega would do in SF2

I was considering something like that, but then we came up with the "Spinning Buzzsaw" hyper instead.
The "Spinning Buzzsaw" came out much cooler then what I was originally tired doing.  I never showed anyone what I originally tried doing since I wasen't impressed with it.  Your better off with "Spinning Buzzsaw".

He dosen't do that but he can hang off the side of the screen with a blade.  I would snap a pic but no time today.   ;D

At this point all basics, specials, and hypers are done.  (Except for Hyper 4... almost done being sprited)
I also have arms on random sprites need to be updated with the correct coloring too.
Then Metalman's damage will be worked on, and then sound will be added.
Then beta testing will start.    :w00t:
Later.

Yeah I was thinkin of something similar to Darkstalkers Morrigan/Lilith, where they do the shadow blade uppercut and the blade sticks out. Your grinding grab throw had me thinking why not do a rising attack that also grinded along the side? Perhaps even change it form an uppercut to a sort of rising shoulder tackle where the shoulder gear is the most prominent part of the attack (considering everyone and their shoto brother has an uppercut  ;D). But whatever works for you man, Your WIP, your masterpiece, either way I'm sure it'll turn out great.
