Here is a Rockman 10 made by a fan.

Yes, practically anyone can make a 8 bit Rockman game. Looks cool though, his name is MegaPhil and has even drawn all of the Robots too. Nice project and I wish him the best.

Wow..... I'm still waiting for the mm8 nes to drop. I got 7 which is actually better than the snes version. I play it on my ds and now I got this one to look forward to!!

I still much prefer Rockman 7 on the SNES over the nes version. Nes RM7 wasn't all that great.

Looks pretty cool, but the music is kinda horrible in some spots. I'd wager that's the hardest part of an 8-bit Megaman game to do though. Very interested to see where this is going. Good luck MegaPhil!

As a die hard classic fan, I like what I see. Just needs to step up the soundtrack, cause it's gonna be bombing! Some of what I heard seems too random. Long time MM Nes soundtrack lovers know what I'm talking about. It's gotta make you wanna have the soundtrack and blare it down the street not giving a d@mn who hears you.

QFT. I still go around humming tunes from MM3 to this day, and I haven't touched the game in over a decade! The soundtrack has always been one of the strong points of the series, so I hope he can upgrade it a bit.

That being said, I'm digging what I see so far. I'll definitely be checking this out once it's released.

I totaly agree with you. The bit of level design we got to see was neet. I liked the land mines and stuff. The sound leaves allot to be desired though, but thats because im comparing it to my favorate bits of mm music. Its really hard to get the music for mega man right, because everyone has so meny strong memorys of the first time you heard your favorate mega man tracks..

Coro Coro is running the contest, there isn't a submission address yet, but the boss can either be classic, x, exe, dash, zx, or ryusei. You must have it drawn and write a description of the robot and it's abilities.

Here is a link so that you can be up to date on what to do, deadline is Feb 13.

Given the designing nature of this contest, I see three outcomes:

1) Cross battle action platformer.
2) Cross battle Fighter.
3) Cross battle PRG

Either, it looks like the Megamen are finally going to meet one another.

Actually they are planning to revive or continue a series (Classic, X, EXE, or Dash). So far the contest is only open to the Japanese and can only be sent to Coro Coro. I usually send to Capcom, but since I do not know Coro Coro's address, I'm going to have to search for it. If I find the address to send then I will post it here so everyone here can send their work. There is a Rockman Scramble in the works which is the cross battle game, but this contest is a robot boss contest. Keiji Inafune is really serious about making a X9, Dash3, RM10, and other Rockman games as well as a possiblility of a new Breath of Fire.

By the way what's a PRG?

Well, I say a cross series since we just got a megaman 9, Inafune himself says he was putting the X series on a small hiatus, and the exe team offically closed that series at 6.

On the contest in Dec, some fan from Japan made a EXE boss and Capcom said they were going to use it, so I'm guessing it's a EXE spin-off unless they want to continue the series, maybe Battle Transmission 2 or EXE 6.5, who knows. I thought it was weird when I heard this. I enjoyed the EXE series and was a little disappointed that it ended.

I would like to see Rock, X, and Volnutt fight each other in a cross over. Rockman Power Fighter 3 with sprites from MVC would be sweet.

The most recent interview states that Keiji wants to continue X9, RM10, Dash 3, and Breath of Fire. I just hope Capcom let's him do it. Hopefully my purchase on RM9 and TVC helped.

If he needs donations then I'm willing to helps finance another Rockman title.

im glad he is making mm 10....it looks awesome. as far as the contest goes i would say choose to make another x series games about megaman during the dark elf wars and during the period where zero was stripped of his armor.....and show incite on how how in the heck did zero self repair his body by himself before he put himself to sleep
