So, you're judge the entries this way? Why not just publicly post the sprites with a poll at the deadline?

They are going to be posted publicly, but without the creators names behind it, so people will judge the sprites based on the sprites and not who they like as a person.

Yes , I need everyone's sprites submitted by PM Friday . Then I will start a thread with a voting poll .

No one's names will be used , just sprite #1 etc .

This way no one can claim that someone won just because of their own personal popularity at this site  .

I also feel , that I shouldn't submit anything ever . Since I am running the contest , I think it would give me an unfair edge .

that's actually a really good idea, never thought of that. 

Though i totally think you should be able participate too, with the anonymity and all.

Who would I give my submission too ?

It's unfair of me to compete . I've felt this way with the sig of the week comp for awhile . The guys that run it shouldn't submit anything , so why should I do the same thing  that I feel is unfair for this ?

Look I see all your submissions . Then the last day I take 3 or 4 hours to make something I think is better than everyone else or a more popular character . Now I am a pretty honest person , so I wouldn't do that . But it could raise eyebrows that I did . Plus I know what the contest is going to be each week in advance , because daniel_p & I decide . Is that fair ? I think not . I've had my Symbiote Batman sprite done since last week    So I will never enter .

I started this comp so the first contest , I definately wanted it to be something that related to me directly . Wolvenom was just released in EOH . So what better way to start this comp in my opinion . They will change every week , though . I hope you will all compete every week just so we can keep this going for awhile . Even if it's not your favorite theme . Who knows , maybe if you think you are not good at spriting DC characters for example . This could help you improve . Let's all try to participate .

Since the submissions are not revealed who made them until after the votes are tallied . Yes it would be considered cheating to say vote for # 2 or whatever . If everyone knew who made the sprite , it wouldn't be a big deal . But that is not the case .

Now I have been already getting submissions through PM . Although I appreciate that some of you look to me for advice . Please do not ask me , what I think of your sprite , or if I think you should change anything . My opinion means nothing in this comp . You will be judged by your peers here at infinity . I may think your symbiot " cucumber man " is the greatest sprite I have ever seen . But it will mean nothing for the competition .

Also if I give you my opinion on what you should change or fix , that would be unfair since I am running this thing & have seen other peoples submissions .

I am trying to make this comp the best for all of you . I want this to be totally fair , but fun at the same time . No one should have any edge or advantage . So I hope you all enjoy it .

Oh yeah, expect a warning or worse if anyone is caught doing this sort of thing.

You dont need to cheat to have a chance. Thats why no one's names are going to be displayed with the sprites.

I meant if cheaters get disqualyfied. I just needed confirmation that if someone cheats he will get disqualyfied.

Like I said . If we displayed editors names , it wouldn't be a big deal if you told your buddies here " Hey vote for me "

But , the way we are doing this , no one should know who did what sprites until the winner is declared .

Like 7 entries or maybe 8 . If you guys entered & did not receive a confirmation PM from me , make sure you send again . PM's have been acting strange here at times . not all of them go through .

BTW Please remove your backgrounds if possible . Or else I have to do it & don't want to mess up your sprite .
