open source spawn WIP?

after i posted my spawn edit there was alot of positive feedback, and the idea was tossed around to make him into a char, mainly by myself and darktalbian, but nothing came through with it other then a discussion. the 2 main problems were the chains and the cape.
then i thought about maybe making it an open source wip, the way that darkseid was done by scruffy dragon, have anyone take a stab at it, can that be done?

I think the only way this would take off is if you had someone who was willing to draw the cape sprites, and just that, and add it in in mugen as an explode.

Nothing happened with it because I have my own Hellspawn's to deal with & I just can't imagine spriting that cape & making it move fluently for 800 sprites . Well , I take that back . I can imagine , & it's a nightmare .  :o

It should be better  to code it as a helper, because you could control more the cape

so in other words in the spriting stage someone would work on the character, someone on the cape and someone on the chains type of deal correct?

I can imagine , & it's a nightmare .  :o

ha ya i know it goes far beyond that of a nightmare, i think its probably cause theres no base, too bad that there isnt a char out there with a long torn cape or something like that eh?

well on the note of the cape again i tried it with dr dooms cape and came up with this

im not particularly stuck on the cape but with some fine tuning it might not be too bad, any thoughts?

Yeah I agree the cape is a big part of spawn and if you went and did the character and then the cape and chains with a team or 2 it would work out faster and better.

Yes...I say do this like it's two characters...then the quality will be better
