Which character do you want to see in Mugen get the makeover and WIP?

I wanted to try to get back to the mugen spirit, but I need of confidence to people who wants to see better versions of these characters with better sprites instead of the ones you guys seen that were not satisfing. I have jumped in to help, however I can draw the moves, ala the get hits, the evades. But coding and animation is not in my cup since I haven't learned it yet (which I need to learn all over again).

So vote on who you want to be made in a new look, a new system, a new version of this character on Mugen.

So far Catwoman is winning, and I already sketched her stance. Right now, Axel's stance is on the works, using his SOR 3 version. As far as Link and Zelda, I am going to look for someone's rip of Zelda and Link from the LOZ series, the new ones perfered.

Catwoman 7%

Remember that this pole will last til January 6th. So once I get a high number, right now I am going to scan the sketched blueprints of Catwoman's pose, I have three sheets of them. And I am preparing Axel's right now (since a guy in Mugenchina has a Blaze, you guys can give me an idea of some Super moves, I am limited to 4 supers for Axel).

Yeah, just incase. If he wins, then I have him ready.
If Catwoman wins, then I have her ready.
If Sonic wins, then I will have him ready.
If Link and Zelda wins, then I will have those two ready.
If Pulseman wins, then I will have him ready.

It depends on how the vote is going to end up. Right now Mugen Infantry has voted Catwoman and Sonic but it's a tie with both her and Sonic. Since there were only 1% votes.

This is the blueprint. I am using Rogue as a height base, and I am going to use the MvC style for shading and color purposes. I also came across some sprite rips from numerous sprite rippers who had a JLTF Cheetah and a SNES Batman Returns Catwoman, here is some samples of what I plan as Catwoman's fighting stance





As far as the 2% people, I will see what happens, althought Catwoman will win 100%, I am awaiting that.

Magus? Or that gother guy? I know someone made one, but it really needs some working on at the shading side and proportion side. I can do better if I had to, but I am going to do this by scratch, then someone program her.

Axel's got 15% so far. WOW.

Link and Zelda is still at 10%

Pulseman is getting some good votes at 5%

I am going to do another blueprint of Sonic and Pulseman

Right now, Catwoman is at first place and Axel's as second place, so no need for Sonic's sprite sheet, all I need is to do Axel's and then Pulseman.

Here is how I predict the ending.

Catwoman is needed in mugen (a perfect one). And having a better Catwoman works much more than having to download ones that need a lot of work. I have Cheetah's normal attacks for Catwoman and then we can use different special attacks (the whip) using K' sister Whip but not the base, because it'd be easy to draw her in those moves instead of using frankensprite.

Axel is also needed in mugen because a guy I know in Mugenchina made a Blaze Fielding one, so we need a perfect Axel, plus I need to ask him what shading style did he use to make her. I am planning on Axel to act like Cody, but not to the extent of personality. Axel will be more like Ralf in a way of personality.

Pulseman. We needed another Sega character to go at par with Megaman. Pulseman is made by Sega, but another third party company that made the game. Pulseman is an idea rival for Megaman since Mario has Sonic. Imagine this, Sonic and Pulseman v.s Mario and Megaman 

Link and Zelda, yes we may need a good Link and Zelda, bar none. But at this rate (looks around). I would understand if they lost the vote, but I can figure someone who would do them if they did lose the vote. Haha!

Tyris Flare. Not too popular among video gamer fans. I know she was in Golden Axe and such, but I would understand if she lost the vote, because there is most people who will think that you can't do much with her.

Sonic. Hmmmmmm.... 

Edit: Wait, Link and Zelda are getting the pull with Catwoman, time to do their sprite sheet next to Axel.

I just got this done with this. All I need is the hands, gloves, boots, mask, googles, then the whip and I am done.

Then next is Link and Zelda depending on tomorrow on who is going to have the greatest percentage to be in second place. There is only three places, so right now Catwoman is in 1st place. There are two slots left. =)

Yeah, I never liked the old outfits. Same with Buyog's Ice outfit. It's too old compared to the one she wore before she died. Catwoman's purple and black outfit sucks as much, so I used the new outfit she wears, it really fits and makes sense. If I made Axel, I would have to use his yellow shirt and darken blue jeans from SOR 3/Bare Knuckle 3 with the blue headband.

Her moves, yeap. Including jumping, crouching, dashing, walking, high jumping, blocking, and get hits. I need like about 3 people on the team.

Next, I am working on Axel, starting to use CvS for Axel instead.

Yes. But he is the same size as CvS Ryo.



Right now his legs were Ryo's base. So I wired it, drew around it. This is what Axel is. After him, I am doing Link and Zelda with the NxC shading, but normal size Link and Zelda.
