can you pls show us a wip video? this would be a gift for our eyes  :O*D

I agree, there's alot going on here but it's only screen shots, it makes you wonder how much is really getting done.

BTW, the future of Mugen is Hi-Res. Great job.

No offense, but all it seem you are doing is making them blurry. Part of being high res is having smooth lines but with the small details kept. To my eyes it just looks like everything's been smudged over.

no offence man but they look like stamps hi resolution required more time editing each image for each character and stage, you only rezised the images with one single filter and even the select screen looks very good ,the characters look with a quickly edition.
if you want make a good compilation start with one character at time, is better have one real converted to hires character    than a bounch of crappy ones.   *Iceman ThumbsDown!*

After reviewing the movies, I can say this is definitely an upgrade, more so for the CVS and especially for the KOF styled characters, due to the nature of the sprites(normally a lot of jaggies *Iceman ThumbsDown!*) than the MVC and SF3 characters.  Also it looks much better moving than still...blur is not as noticeable.  Still some more detailing needs to be done, more so on the MvC and SF3 characters, but all in all; very good work, my friend.

PS: Noticed the hyper portraits for some of the characters are missing, is that by design to make everything more uniform?  And thanks for the insight, already well on my way with my own upgrades ;)

agreed. as a seperate game, i wouldnt mind having this on my comp. This would be so much better if the sprites were cleaned up a bit more but it would probably take ages even for an experienced gfx artist.

As many others; Im anticipating a finshed product & release. :) %%-

IMO Fei Long and Guy should be added to the roster.

So are you just going to filter sprites or...

You know what, I'm guessing just filtering sprites. There's too many characters to code.

And you seem to have gotten the "This isn't really HR" speech before, so I'll skip it.

And I always wonder if Poison was a man or woman.

This is something I'll look up, but not really something I'm going to await. The filtered sprites look nice but that's all they are, filtered sprites. I'd much sooner patch one of my characters than download a game where most of the characters are simply "better looking".

Also, your Birdie looks nothing like Birdie. I thought it was Jack from the Tekken series. And unless you're going to sprite edit a lot to turn a grappler into a fighter like Birdie, your Hugo edit will still say "Jack" to me.
Punctuation and capitalization can make the difference between "I helped my uncle, Jack, off a horse," and, "I helped my uncle jack off a horse."

92% of people have moved onto rap. If you're part of the 8% who thinks rap isn't music, sucks to be you.

Most newer stuff sucks, though.

I've said nothing about skin color.

Sorry...some stupid questions here....

1) What is the difference between the trial version of Alienskin and the full version?
2) Can any hi-res characters run without hi-res mugen? Even if you made them with Alienskin?

Thanks,

Turbanator
