Chun-Li for Mugen (may work in DOS)
By supermystery

Sup everyone

Version 1
===========

Features:

AI

Dizzy Mode

Moves and fighting style similar (although not 100% accurate) to X Men vs Street Fighter (PSX)

Notes:
--------

Decided to convert my favorite female fighting game character to mugen,
as my favorite version was from Xmen vs Street fighter (thats the only game i had available to emulate) i did an attempt to match the moves as close to the game as possible
although not everything is accurate to the game.

*This character may be slighty better for comboing than in the orginal character, this is due to some minor tweaking to my preference.
*some moves may treat the opponent different to how is done in the real game because i didnt want to use custom states too much
otherwise the moves would then have no effect on character with super armor (ie apocalyspe)
*Although i tried my best to emulate the actual game some moves could still look off idk.

Moves
-------

Throw
forward y/z

Guard Push (while blocking)
x + y

Recovery Roll (before fall)
~D, DB, B, and attack button

Alpha Counter (while blocking) lvl 1
~D, DB, B, x

Super Jump
D,U

Aerial Rave Starter
High Kick

Special Moves
---------------
Fireball
HCF + any punch

Spinning Air Kick
(D) 2 seconds, U + any kick

Axe Kick
HCB + any punch

Lightning Leg (can be done in air)
Rapidly press kick

Hyper Moves, you must have at least level 1 (1000 power)
--------------------------------------------------------

Hyper Blast
D, DF, F, x+y

Hyper Burst Kick
D, DF, F, a+b

Hyper Air Kick
D, DB, B, a+b

EDIT: The Hyper Burst kick + blast can be button mashed for more hits.

Code: [Select]
====================================================================
Regarding AI
====================================================================
Default is on but if you really want to switch it off open the Chun-LISM.cns file and do the following:

Change:

;AI on or Off
[State -2, Simplifier]
type = VarSet
triggerall = !IsHelper
trigger1 = var(58) = 1
trigger2 = var(0):=0
var(0) = 1 ; Another option is to replace 1 with something like MatchNo, if
; you want to design your AI to have varying levels of difficulty.
IgnoreHitPause = 1

To:

;AI on or Off
;[State -2, Simplifier]
;type = VarSet
;triggerall = !IsHelper
;trigger1 = var(58) = 1
;trigger2 = var(0):=0
;var(0) = 1 ; Another option is to replace 1 with something like MatchNo, if
; you want to design your AI to have varying levels of difficulty.
;IgnoreHitPause = 1

Your welcome :)

hey was sup um i was wondering if u were going to if and when u decide to if u were going to use the mvc1 or 2 super bg & super portrait?

Sup

If i had all the MVC2 on the PC i would of been able to emulate the games properly which would of meant i could of added the desired fx from mvc2, i would most definitely would of done it for xmenvssf but i dont have all the necessary fx for it, if i did you would of probably had them with all their fx etc.

As i dont have the resources i dont think there will be any mvc portraits/fx any time soon.

If i happen to get my hands on all the desired fx i may decided to add them later, or i may just get the MVC2 fx and use those. No intentions to do this at the moment though.

This is an awesome release of XMvsSF Chun Li. She plays very well, and I like your combo tweaks that you have given to her. As I said before XMvsSf was my favorite of the versus series. Now this Chun Li along with Bison and Ken are among my current favorites. Hey Supermystery please keep these XMvsSF versions coming they are the best, GOOD JOB!!!

What you could do is test out other creator's creations.. see which would look good on your Chun-Li (or just test other creator's Chun-Li's and pick from those) ....

As for the MvC2 portraits.. there is some on the homepage of this website (infinitymugenteam.com) ... Just credit whoever made the Chun-Li one... I think Kong made all of them... :-??

 ::salute::

 :)

The character is MVC type really its just not using those extra fx.

to be honest im not too bothered about throwing portraits and stuff im only interested in the gameplay and the way the moves are, not to say that i wont be doing it in the future though.   :P

Thanks for your comments everyone, and ill see if can fix the super jump to be higher
it will be a quick update so watch this space.

Damn sir, you've been on a roll lately. Another great creation to add to mugen.
Keep up the solid work!!!

Ps. If your taking ideas, I'd like to see your version of Sagat.
