I need help installing characters!!

I just started this mugen thing like 5 mins ago and i cant install characters. Every time i try it tells me "The application could not be installed because the AIR file is damaged. Try obtaining a new AIR file from the application author."..Help?

its probably just the char you got theres some that do that try replacing him with another char good luck and i hope i helped

I also have no idea how to install the characters. I don't even know if I have the correct/best version of Mugen.

Can anyone help point a noob out please?
