I got a dam virus on my computer!!!! 

I was looking for an ADX converted hours ago, and tried many programs that google results gave me, and most of them didnt work, and obviously they were all .EXE files and one of them infected my computer, but not until about 3 hours later, it restarted itself. Then everytime I turn it back on, one minute passes and it restarts itself, so im not even able to delete it. What should I do now?

The same thing happened to me yesterday, but I called my computer friend techie and he kicked the crap out of that virus.

Alright well I pressed F8 and it took me to about 8 different options, Safe Mode, Safe Mode with Networking, etc.

Then I went to Safe Mode ---> Home Edition and it gave me this message:

Windows could not start because of a computer disk hardware configuration problem.
Could not read from the selected boot disk. Check boot path and disk Hardware
Please check the windows documentation about the hardware disk.
Configuration and your hardware reference manuals for additional information.

I found out the virus name:

kernelfaultcheck

and its located on C/Documents/System32/Drivers

Now what?

bottom line everyone jus download avast and malware bytes....its also called mbab. They are free forever

I've noticed these viruses eseem to be going around a lot as of late.. I was hit heavilly with them over the summer. I actually had to upgrade my antivirus program in order for more solid protection.

There should definitley be some free programs that can help clean up your computer.. but some of them can be very complicated. If all else fails, I'd call a technician for help.

I had two this summer like this...one my anti virus cleaned up the other required the re-installation of Vista  more of a reason to use my mac

y dont u try system restore it always works when i have a virus it takes ur system back days or weeks ago back to when ur cpu didnt have the virus.

I guess you'll have to re-install WINDOWS,,,,, sorry,,,
once installed and all your softwares also,
make a "shadow" of your system with a software called "ShadowProtect"

those two programs i named work the best for me period. Malwarebytes anti malware (mbab) and avast. Whatever avast doesnt kill mbab will. Having windows defender doesnt hurt either due to the fact that it has a way you can manage all programs and startup programs.

I had a bunch of them a couple of weeks ago . They got in & totally disabled my virus protection . I had to manually find them & start removing things . I even had to go into the registration . took me 3 days to finally get rid of it all . There is some nasty sh*t going around the net right now

Well what do you know, one of my neighbors was a computer tech guy He is a mad cool guy and we while we were transferring my data, he saw my Mugen files and loved the whole idea of it so we will probably have another member coming soon. Well I got all my files, music, pictures, videos, programs, etc saved in my usb port drives, and now my computer is reformatting as we speak, but no worries since I have all the stuff I needed saved in my usb ports. I recommend this to everyone to do it now, you never know when you will get a virus, I sure as hell didn't know. Its not like I woke up that morning and said "oh ok well today im getting a virus" not at all. Do it now, back up your files, and remember: Better save than sorry!

PSA for all MUGEN creators...I have a reg. cleaner installed on my computer and Ive never really had to back up anything...today I lost of files ...ALOT...not everything but enough to post in the IM PISSED thread  so from now on Im gonna use my thumbdrive to back up EVERYTHING...I cant believe Im gonna have to redo some things to sprites  god I had some perfect Batman sprites that lost thier arm blades  ok Im ranting Ive got work to do
