RyuATICE - v1.3 update


What's in this update...
- fixed timings
- aerial hadou-ken sprite - fixed on all palettes...
- Ekkusutorimu Aiaiaru Shinku Hadou-Ken hyper (3700) removed... (reason: un-necessary hyper)
- Aiaiaru Shinku Tatsumaki hyper# changed from 3800 to 3700...
- new palette - RyuHulk...

What's to come in future updates...
- AI...
- 1 more hyper...
- More SURPRISES...

Sounds good. An update is coming soon... I've already noticed a few flaws, but they're not major... but they definitely need to be fixed. :)

Well, after trying him out, I did find a couple of things, just in case you haven't noticed them yourself:

1) All hadoukens, plus standing and crouching Strong Kick won't connect with the opponent if you're standing right next to them.

2) Air Tatsu Hyper does some pretty screwy things. Ryu tends to float off the top of the screen before actually starting the move. I've also had him drop down below the floor during it, too.

3) Hadouken explosion (when it hits the opponent) could use some transparency. I also noticed that they only explode if P2 is blocking. There aren't any hitsparks or explosions at all when the projectile actually connects; it simply vanishes. Is that how you want it? It's cool if it is, but it just seems a little odd to me.

Otherwise, once you tighten up the Hyper timings this will be a pretty solid release. Looking forward to the next update!

Thanks for the comment & feedback. I really appreciate it. Concering the Air Tatsu Hyper... wait....  :o WOOOPSS!! I just realized that... it's not supposed to be able to be performed in the air... yikes... Um... so an update will come later today... to fix that and a few other things... Thanks for pointing that out. :)

How will this Ryu be differnt from all the other Ryu chracters out there?
I think pointing out those features may bring more intrest in this chracter.

Well... the big one that I had already announced when I started this WIP is that this Ryu will be able to transform into a dark form... and then eventually a possible Evil Ryu form... but the Evil Ryu transformation may be limited...

That's the biggest thing I'm trying to bring to this character... first I need to complete the hypers, & make the AI... and the special intro's... then I'll work on the Dark Form... :)

More news... Ryu will not have a dark form... but he will definitely have some more surprises along the way...

To elaborate on the update and the future updates... here goes...

As you may have already noticed by watching the first 30 seconds of the v1.2 update video... a NEW Shinku Hadou-Ken animation has been implemented [Thanks to Vyn]... This was decided to be put in, because the original shinku hadou-ken didn't seem like much...

More intro's... well... that ones kinda obvious... I implemented 3 more intro's... one for friends... one for challenges... and one for enemies... They only work with specific characters, so you'll have to look at the CNS file for those...

Fixed timings... what I fixed... basic attack timings... the walking timing & speed... I fixed most of the timings for the supers, as well... unfortunately he can still be hit while waiting those 45 seconds or so to power-up the super... I will fix that more in future updates, as well...

NEW Hypers... yeah... new hypers. Enjoy! :thumbsup:

NEW Charge move... I had loads of help from Fallen_Angel on this one, especially the aura effect...

For what's to come in future updates... AI (whenever I feel like actually taking 24 hours to learn the d@m thing.... easy for some, hard for others... More hypers... yeah... I was going to put all of the hypers in this update... but I decided not to... also, as updates come... the hypers will have more difficult commands to make Ryu not so cheap... More surprises... that's what I said... I have a lot in store for this character, and more ideas are to come as time progresses....

So, there you have it... an answer to.. well... most of your questions about this update and future ones...

Please give feedback ASAP... I can't update this character without knowing what's wrong with him...
