MOVIE

Trailer #1

Trailer #2

--------------------

Here's the wikipedia page for it...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Max_Payne_(film)

It's supposed to be released 10-17-08.

Main Cast:

Mark Wahlberg as Max Payne, a cop haunted by the murder of his family and who disregards rules to investigate their deaths. Wahlberg described his role, "It's probably one of the edgier roles I've played but also the most layered. Here's a very happy guy who worked a dismal job, had a beautiful family. But the beauty in his life was taken away. He just goes on a rampage. It's all driven by emotion."

Beau Bridges as B.B. Hensley, a former cop and Max Payne's mentor.

Mila Kunis as Mona Sax, an assassin who seeks revenge for the murder of her sister.

Chris Bridges as Jim Bravura, an internal affairs agent.

Chris O'Donnell as Jason Colvin, an executive and Nicole Horne's "right-hand man".

Nelly Furtado as Christa Balder, wife of Alex Balder.

Kate Burton as Nicole Horne, CEO of Aesir corporation.

Donal Logue as Alex Balder, Max Payne's partner and best friend.

Amaury Nolasco as Jack Lupino, a mafia boss who becomes unstable due to the drug Valkyr.

---------------

I haven't played the games yet, but I definitely want to.

I think Mark Wahlberg was a perfect choice for the role of Max Payne. He's just a brilliant actor, and I can't wait to see the movie in theatres.

Oh, and they're going for a PG-13 rating for this movie. Don't worry.. just less blood and gore in the movie... Sounds reasonable, anyways...

I CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS MOVIE!

Max Payne 3

What we know, so far...

The PC version's ending to Max Payne 2 teases with a message at the end of the credits proclaiming, "Max Payne's journey through the night will continue", but the story itself seems to be over; Max has found peace with his life of guilt; out of both games, Max is one of only two characters left alive, the other being Jim Bravura, who was left in critical condition. Mona survives in an alternate hidden ending on the Dead on Arrival difficulty level, but its role being in canon being questionable. The third game in the series was announced by Jeffrey L. Lapin, the CEO of Take-Two Interactive in 2004. There have been no further announcements regarding the matter – not even a developer for the third game has been named. Remedy Entertainment's name was mentioned in the announcement. At the same time, a post on Shacknews, apparently from someone claiming to be Mikael Kasurinen, a level designer for Max Payne 2, read "FYI: We are not making Max Payne 3." GameSpot notes the status of the game is TBA.

Take-Two Interactive suggested that there will be a Max Payne 3 at some point although it didn't announce the game during its conference call. The team who developed The Warriors for Rockstar Games has been tapped for Max Payne 3. Rumors said that Max Payne is now under developement by Rockstar Games.

-------------------

I have not played either of the games, but I will soon... I've seen my cousin play them sometimes, and they look like great games.

I like how they use "If I was your vampire" by Marilyn Manson in the trailers.

I hope they use the song "Late Goodbye" by Poets of the fall in the ending credits, or anywhere in the movie.

The movie actually looks good, I'm just overlooking the Teen rating.

The only Max game I really got into was MP2. I played a little bit of the first one though on GBA.

As far as Max Payne 3 goes, from what I remember there was a secret ending in MP 2 where Mona survived.
The actress playing her in this movie looks a lot like her.

I think they're just doing one while adding original stuff like the angel of death.

If the first movie is good, then I'll be hoping for a second.

Well angel of death is exactly as it sounds. Angel of death is basically the grim reaper. Except it has black feathered wings in most references.
Mona was in MP1.

It really doesn't matter who plays as him. Max in MP1 was based off a different actor then MP2.
It would have been cool if it was one of the actors he was designed off of were to act as him.

No. He was modeled after the soap opera actor Timothy Gibbs.

Just look up his name on google images.

I think the movie was great, but I think they could have done without the war cry scenes. It was a great video game based movie, they kept most of the storyline. Changed various things, but kept the real important things from the story in the movie.

Instead of Max using pain killers, he used Valkyr. The wikipedia page of the movie suggests he got super powers from it, but really, all it did was make him feel no pain, and hallucinate.

1. Resident Evil 1-3
2. Hitman
3. Silent Hill
4. Max Payne
5. Mortal Kombat 1

Thanks DG!
