Lets face it...Ledger WAS a brilliant joker BUT the story was brilliant too...so who knows how the next bad guy will do if the story is crap 

exzactly my point and so far the characters casted dont fit like how does penguin fit in dark Knight its more realistic not comic book based w/e

Well....the newer Batman comics are very dark a la Dark Night...and I think that any Batman villain could fit....as long as the penguin is portrayed as a little psychopathic fat guy and not the crappy danny devito char...he would be fine

Nolan has said jokers not going to back, and thats a safe bet, so I would just forget even debating that. If ther pick a good villan, and get a good actor to play that villan its gonna be good. Theres plenty of good stories that dont involve Joker, with Nolan writing its gonna be good. I doubt a 500k movie, but it could be big they dont rush it. The only way I see it being bigger is if they have a 4-5 villan team up.

the riddler was actually never a reallllly funny character.... he was very vauge about the stuff he said and litterally everything that came out of his mouth was a riddle.  i dont rememeber much of riddler crackin jokes and stuff on the comics how carrey did.   dont get me wrong tho, jim carrey made riddler look good.

I myself want to get hyped up over this this but remember people said the same thing about Jim playing the riddler. You know the role being perfect for him.

The movie over all was poorly writen so jim was awful in that film.

Just cross your fingers and hope the writing is up to par with the talent that Johnny posesses.

Now with johnny if he played a ture Riddler. You one thats simular to the comics more creepy then goofy that would be up his ally. Remember Willyroker, Sweeny Tod, ED cuts hands. He great acter in general but those creepy role are scarey from him.

Johnny would also make a good Mad Hatter

Side note: I don't think that we should compare JN joker to a HL performance. I'm a JN fan and loved his Jack Napier character, and although he did pull to act the role, it sometimes seemed forced an unnatural but still very good. HL made the joker look and "act" like a real perso (to my opinion at least) and people claim that his death was probably cause by this... he could not let go of "J". Conclussion: Both roles played marvelously.

About JD playing riddler... amaizing. I don't think anyone eslse could fill riddlers shoes better. But it's true, there are a lot of young actors that might work as riddler, but JD IS creepy on his creepy rolls. and the riddler should be a dark creepy character. I see him as the riddler from "The Batman" animated series... very interesting.

Hey do your reseach first.

The the Penguin is indeed and vary dark character.  A lot of people do a jokey play on him because of who he is.

I would rather not see the Big P in the movie but as i said before with the right writers and good actors. . . . . . . . . . . . . .

... my point exactly. Them batman reboot movies are good, but Bale's acting leaves a lot to wish for. He's a good Wayne, but he makes Batman sound like he has throat cancer... he talks to much anyway. I don't remember Keaton talking so much, just those cool one liners... "shields"... I defended the Big P because their are times when he was really Dark but he a sorry character in general.
