I really dont see them recasting Joker. Riddler like the 1st rumor I could see. Penguin as a villain hasnt been a good villian in years. Penguin is a good Mob Boss /Club owner as he's been for a decade. I gotta believe thats just a rumor based on the interest level of fans.

Well I guess i was wrong, all the information about that is gone, looks like it was changed. But i had seen it on acess hollywood, 3 actors were suspoted to film sceens that were unfixhed, but it looks like from what wikipedia is saying that the director decided not to use any alterations.

Christopher Nolan has already stressed that no Batman characters, that were in the older films, will be cast in any future Batman films...... now does that limit the list..?? Of course... why don't they make a reversed Batman or Cyborg Batman as a villain... why not have Catman, Man-Bat, or Ventriloquist as one of the new Batman villains, eh? Also, yes, there will be another movie, because Nolan has already said so....

As for the Joker... You really can't say anything till you see the next movie... You know... before the Dark Knight was even made, no one even considered that Heath Ledger would be even a good Joker, and look how that turned out... PERFECTLY... You really can't say that no one can be a better Joker than Heath Ledger when you don't give anyone else a fair shot at the role. I think that Johnny Depp would actually be a poor choice for the Joker, because he really never changes his act... if you look at all of his movies... you'll notice that his voice doesn't change... his posture doesn't change... nothing... therefore he would not be even a good Joker.

Thats actually a whole new movie thats yet to be released, not affiliated with batman at all. Ledger finished the Dark Knight completly. I just saw this on E Biography.

Hmm.. What if the next villian was the Clock King, i doubt it would be Man-Bat or Killer Croc as the next spiderman film will more then likely have the Lizard.

I think you have to be careful how much you take Nolans word as set in stone. While he did say that, he also expects the 3rd film to be the biggest. I think unless you go totally out of Batmans rogues, and shock the audience how that could be. Croc, or Vetriloquist arent going to pull in the crowd Riddler, or Catwoman will.

I know David Goyers work better than most here, and if he writes it, it will be fantastic. Personally I think Hush would be the way to go with several small villian cameos.

Just because Ledger did a wonderful job as the Joker, doesn't mean that the next one won't be good... You'd be surprised at how well people can act. Most people are basing they're opinion on the fact that Ledger was an "acting genius & god"... no he wasn't... no one is... To be honest I've only see one other movie with Ledger in it, and that was 'A Knight's Tale'... did I think it was awesome? Yes. Was it the best movie ever? No. To be completely honest, I think Hot Fuzz is better than that... funnier, too.
